U.S. Educational price has gone up from $899 to $949.![]()
It seems to fluctuate, I think the the unibody was released at first, it was dropped from $949 to $899. Kinda sad that it went back up.

Jobs is suffering from dementia.
Be careful, Morph - disparaging comments about the Turtlenecked Overlord...
If you love using pet names so much, why don't you go make sweet love to him?
I honestly wouldn't be supprised if Jobs was suffering a mental disease though, the lack of nutrients and un-needed pressure he puts on his body would do that.
The occasional email replies from sjobs@apple.com aren't inconsistent with some mental or behavioural impairment. Does the TO really need to tell his customers to "educate themselves"?
If I were on the board at Apple, I'd argue that the firewall should be set to block all outgoing messages from sjobs@apple.com.
There's one flaw in your hypothetical situation.
You, work for Apple?![]()
If you're on the board, Apple works for you!

In the same way that you 'control' the sims? (The Sims is an evil evil game)

No.
All of Apple, even the TO, is responsible to the board.
Whether any entity can "control" the TO is another issue.
Look, these product leaks are not showing up on the radar of Joe Consumer.
Trust me, I'm an AAPL shareholder, I read the SEC filings.

Quarter after quarter, Apple posts record breaking sales. They weren't even terribly affected by the recession of late 2008. Once a year, I fill out my proxy ballot and happily re-elect the board of directors, including Steven P. Jobs.
Leaks such as this one aren't translating into significant lost sales. If they are, go dig up the financial numbers that prove your point and post them here.
really? so you think, if you were about to buy an iphone with a two year contract, a buyer wouldn't do a single google search?
The majority? Absolutely not.
I couldn't begin to tell you, as resident Apple "expert" to many of my friends and family (as i'm sure many of us are), how many times one of my friends has purchased an Apple product at the end of its cycle only to be completely frustrated when the new model was released soon after.
This has happened at least twice this year. And with products that are much more expensive than an iPhone. AAMOF, a friend's sister sent me a gift card for saving her the trouble last year.
So, no, I don't believe most buyers are tech savvy enough, or just care enough, to be bothered with searching the internet for product cycles.
And to pile on...
