Actually, the mid-range Android phones at $200-$300 are very good nowadays. The only issue is support. OEMs will simply release the phone and that's it. Zero updates.
I don't think Apple will do this. However, if they did, they will have a huge advantage, since the 5S will probably be supported longer than the newest mid-range Android phone.

Nexus 5X will have amazing support for a $270 phone. The Moto G 3rd gen might get decent support hopefully. Sony is working on introducing new midrange in the US. The One Plus X might get some support. There are certainly options if you know where to look.

The research note also clarified that Apple will offer both sing

Come on, let's be real here. At most, they'll give thre dual lens to the Plus but not the 7. There's no way they're going to further complicate the lineup for a lens difference. What would it look like anyway?

5S, SE, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 7 Plus Lens Edition?

But u know with Apple you don't have to look for support. It's at their stores, over the phone, etc. Apple support is top notch.

Lol read your statement again. Lots of "might", "working on". Sounds promising. But until then....

Tiny screen! which phone are we talking about? I have an Xperia Z3 Compact 4.6" which I absolutely love - it really is a perfect size, much better than the awful phablets (whoever makes them). I suspect this new Apple phone will be in huge demand. I'm already interested.

Phablets are just so 'yesterday'.
Depends. In Asia, people love the huge screen, especially girls. They like watching their dramas on the subway, and a phablet makes it a better experience. There's a reason why Apple decided to do a plus version of their iPhone.

Of course, there is still a market for a smaller sized phone as well, but there's a reason why phablet has become a category.

I can show you tons of phones that are better than this upcoming 4 inch iPhone. Plus, Apple needs to learn how to make phones .1 mm thicker to get better battery sizes. Samsung just did that with the S7.
Apple has to learn how to make phones.... from Samsung ? Could you check iPhone 6S and Samsung S6 sales in the last quarter, please ?

But that's because they have the resources. ZTE doesn't have those resources. Apple has been relevant even before the iPhone. ZTE not so much. And Apple replaces phones rather than do repairs.

Err, go outside the US and see where you can buy a Nexus. Even then, the prices are a lot more than what Google charged. Same thing with Moto, not as widely available outside US. And what will happen when I need support for my Nexus? Huawei is selling the 6P at almost iPhone price in Singapore (cheaper than iPhone, but way more than US price).

Please, OnePlus? I have the OnePlus One, and they cannot even do Marshmallow on it. Android is cheap for a reason.

Canada, England are outside the US. When you need support you go to the manufacturer, Google, or your carrier. Just because Apple has a fool proof process doesn't mean that it's the only way to do business.

Then why do the 6 and 6S have bad battery lives? Why did the 5S have bad battery life? Why are they moving to Amoled in 2018 rather than now? Where are the major features like quick charge or wireless charging? Outside the Plus line, it's hard to even consider the other iPhones. Heck the 6 and 6S don't have OIS. It took till 2015 to get 4K cameras. Furthermore, 16gb is still a standard. But that's still a good phone... right?
Totally. Apple's obsession with thinness is unnecessary and is crippling their internals, most importantly, battery life.

Exactly. Plus some of their customers are not making the right demands. Apple's success will catchup to them eventually. If Apple made the S7, people will be crying tears of joy and screaming innovation from the mountaintops.

I didn't realize the world to you only means Canada and England.
What, having to send my Nexus all the way to Google in the US?
Carrier? What are you even talking about?

My real life experience.
Samsung: Samsung US refuse to support any unlocked Samsung phones, period.
Sony: Sony Asia refuse to even look at my US Xperia Z1.
Apple: I have had my Verizon iPhone serviced in Singapore and Japan, without any fuss.

I used Android since Nexus One, GNex, 4, 5, and many other phones as well, including Xperia Arc, HTC One, Moto X, Xperia Z1, and lastly OnePlus One. I thought I was saving money vs going with Apple. After looking at how may phones I bought and frustrations when I needed support, to me the iPhone has become a better investment.

You do realize that ZTE, Huawei, etc will beat Apple in markets like China and India? That little phone will last maybe 8 hrs on battery.
8 hours of usage on a 4" iPhone? Perfect number I'd say...

In which parallel dimension the iPhone 6 and 6S has "bad" battery life ?

Doesn't have to be exactly 4 inches, but the Moto G (1st gen), Lumia 635, Sony Z5 compact to name a few. Heck look at ZTE, Huawei, Alcatel for better value devices with similar or better specs. 4" is an outdated screen size for the most part. It's pathetic that the Apple fanboys will take this overpriced device and claim it's a godsend. Open your eyes and notice you're getting ripped off.
Are you really comparing Moto G or Lumia 635 to ANY iPhone ?
Ok.... Time to move on

Lol Apple replacing phones is a negative now? They replace screens too btw. Tell me how great after sales support these other oems provide oh wait u gotta go to carrier stores most of the time or go to your geek squad lol.

Yes please enlighten Apple on how to make a phone, both hardware and software together. Because they're having no success at all. Smh.

Someone is being too literal. I named two places outside of the US. Forgive me for not knowing the cell phone situation in Azerbaijan.

The only thing funnier than charging 500 dollars for a 4 inch phone is that there are people so dense that they think that's a fair price.

The simple fact you put One Plus and SUPPORT on the same phrase made me laugh very loud :D

Could you please show me another "option " running iOS ? Nope ? Well....
I won't settle for an android smartphone nevertheless.

You don't have to be such ignorant.
I have pointed out my real life experience, and I think my point is clear.

Lol but Apple doesn't know how to make a phone. Man the Galaxy s6 must have absolutely terrible battery life if the iPhone 6s is bad. Are they still waiting on marshmallow?

Such ignorant? If you're going to critique others, it would be better to use proper grammar. Please. You don't even know me. I don't need to say Mauritania to raise eyebrows.
