Maybe my opinion hasn't been tainted due to the fact that I don't use things like Snapchat, Facebook, etc, so I don't interact with the machine in that way. People need to remember that they can always just not use the products that they don't like. When Instagram stopped serving my needs, I just deleted the account and never went back.

We shouldn't be looking to big tech to solve the problems we can solve ourselves.

I might agree with your perspective but alas, a great many are directly impacted and will interface. We then are impacted peripherally.

Don't know if this has been brought up elsewhere (and my apologies for resurrecting this thread) but I have to say the only thing I want AI to do in any browser is to let me declare, once and for all; I do not want to sign up for your newsletter, I do not want a coupon, I do not want your app, I do not want your [insert service here], these are my cookie preferences and they will not change. I do not care what it is about I do not want any popups in any fashion for any reason at any time in any place whatsoever PERIOD

Unfortunately you’ll probably get Apple AI popups asking if you want it to summarize the webpage for you or some other nonsense. 😂
