I was excited to get a pair of AirPods if they were launched in black, but I guess I will be waiting for the next revision

Exactly where I am too. Also liked the rumor about a different material for better hold once in your ear. Hopefully we won't have to wait long.

They've never fallen from my ears, but they're slippery. Sometimes they fall off my hands while I'm taking them off. I'd love them to have more grip, and to have an in ear option.

When Apple says 5 hours of use, is that 2.5 hrs per bud or 5 hrs per bud totaling 10 hrs of use?
My generic buds say 3 hrs but that's 1.5 hrs per bud.

The grippiness is conundrum. They aren't in-ear and hence no silicon. More grip, imo, would mean less comfort in the ear while easier to handle. The current material means more difficult handling vs nice fit in the ear (at least in my ear).

Question, the auto pause feature these airpods have - does that also work when watching something on Youtube on a Mac? So taking one pod out auto pausing and re-playing again when inserting?

These are my first set of airpods but can't get the above to work.

So those who upgraded how you liking them?

The Air Pods (2nd gen) connect to my Apple devices (e.g. Mac Book Pro, iPad & ATV) significantly faster. The audio sounds similar to the first gen and I can not discern a significant difference. I ran my first gen Air Pods into the ground with high usage and need to replace them. Excellent product and satisfied customer.
