Bloomberg's Mark Gurman is sharing some last-minute predictions tonight regarding what we can expect to see at tomorrow's "It's Glowtime" Apple event, and in addition to his claim that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 only appears to be getting a new black color option with no third-generation model being introduced, he believes we will be seeing updated AirPods Max headphones.

In line with his previous reporting about the new AirPods Max, Gurman says the updated models will include improved audio performance in the form of better active noise cancellation and new adaptive audio features, while the headphones will switch from Lightning to USB-C.

Gurman previously suggested that the new AirPods Max might not arrive at tomorrow's event, citing a lack of product shortages for the current models at Apple, but it now appears we may see an introduction after all.

Previous reports have suggested the updated AirPods Max may also include some new color options, but no broader updates to the overall design are expected.

In addition to the AirPods Max, we're also expecting a more significant update for the standard AirPods tomorrow with two new AirPods 4 models rumored, including one with active noise cancellation.

Ok but can they please be able to do lossless and all that other wild junk they touted was new in Apple Music a year ago or whenever it was? So ridiculous that they announced new hi res audio formats in their Apple Music catalogue but they don’t have any product that lets you actually listen to it!

just switching to USB-C will be a huge boost in terms of better high end audio quality
This generously assumes it will do anything other than charge them ;)

I *just* got mine replaced for free after my second failure from mysterious connection issues. My last pair even had AppleCare . . . and they failed right after it expired.

USB-C: ok cool but FIX THE FAILURE ISSUES (which is very likely from condensation like someone said above)

Better noise cancelling and audio, so it will include the H2 chip after all. Hopefully that comes with improved battery life too.

I’ve been rocking my AirPods Max lately and loving it, so I’m looking forward to this one.

Hmm. All of Gurman's previous rumors indicated AirPods Max would receive no updates other than a USB-C port and new color options, that the update would be so minor it would still be considered first gen. 🤔
Exactly he’s selling it like this is what he predicted when it’s not lol

it can keep lightning for all i care, just fix the damn condensation fatal flaw that renders them useless especially after apple care runs out
I don’t get this; I used these headphones at outdoor work in every day in outdoor weather from the coldest and hottest of 113f, I was sweaty and the headphones drenched with absolutely no issues ever coming out from it; no clue how everyone else ends up with broken AirPod max

Is that a widespread problem with them?
I personally think a few people had this issue and are the most vocal of it; because I used these like as if they were to protect my hearing daily at all weather , basically drenched in sweat and condensation with nothing happening nearly two years now

Did you always put them immediately back in the (funny looking) Smart Case after you take them off? That's what I do, and I have some discoloration on the outward facing main part of the aluminum ear cups. Which I don't mind, but I assume it's from condensation trapped in the smart case.

But that's my only "problem". No failures, I've had them more than three years. I wound up using them not as much as I thought I might, the noise I was blocking was alleviated after a landlord change. But I did use them heavily for at least half a year, 4-6 hours a day.

I hope mine hold up! They still sound fantastic, even if I don't have to use the noise cancellation now and mostly use open back headphones instead.

What is the condensation fatal flaw? I’ve had these since launch day and don’t recall any issue.
