The effect is... unbelievable... wow! Does not work on all content though: Frozen 2 and TV+ were fine, a Netflix movie I tested was not.

On a more sober note, the fit test now is solid yellow. Sad trombone.

I love it. Works great on a new ish iPad. No option for the iPhone 6S.

Although, only seems to work with the Apple TV app. Has anyone tried any other apps?

ATV+ app and iTunes only currently. Other video apps will need an update to support it. I haven't heard any word on when or if Netflix, amazon, etc. will support it.

How to do get Airpods pro to auto switch? I just tried going back and forth between my ipad and iphone (both running 14)?

Am I totally mistaken, but I thought that as soon as I stop playing something on one device and then try to play something on another device, the airpods will automatically pair with the second device ands start playing.

Not entirely true. For example Air Video HD already works, using 5.1 content and Surround on. I believe it’s already active on all apps that use standard APIs for multichannel audio. Why else would it work on Air Video, last updated 11 months ago?

I’m not surprised if big-corp apps have used their own bags of audio tricks, which will now require an update. Boutique apps might fair better in this regard.

For me it switches when I unlock device B, and device A is already locked. But not simply by changing the sound source or (let alone) using eye gaze. Maybe in the next version 🤣 (Can I have some of the patent money, please, if they steal this idea :) )

Any one know what content currently supports spatial audio in iOS 14? Tried Spotify and Apple Music songs and I get "this content does not support Spatial Audio" message above it in Control Center when I activate.

Anything that's coded in 5.1 Audio or Dolby Atmos on Netflix or Prime Video or elsewhere. Spotify or Apple Music doesn't have any Dolby Audio but Prime Music and Tidal HiFi does.

Any improvements like auto switching coming to 1st gen AirPods? I'm trying to hold out for the 3rd gen.

Ok, spatial audio is kind of wild, even watching Ted Lasso. 😃

it’s really cool watching Greyhound. I like my surround system, but this is pretty nice on the AirPods Pro.

What content did you use? My iPhone has the newest beta, and I just tried some YouTube, Apple Music, and the live action lion king and I don't feel any spatial senses. The phones says it's on, but I can move my head relative to my iPhone and nothing happens. I also tried moving the phone about and I tried with just one headphone. Nothing.

So I just tried this out with my iPad and it‘s pretty cool- audio is being manipulated in a weird way where details become pronounced in the ear you turn towards your iPad. Definitely thought the iPad was playing the audio as well.

Just tested Netflix and amazon, it's not working in either. It does in ATV+. Seems to be working in Disney+ as well.
