airport-freeze-forcing-reboot-thing

So did it fix the airport-freeze-forcing-reboot-thing when transfering large files to an attached usb-drive?

Just to say that I tested this issue last night after I applied the update and it works for me. No other problems that I can detect so I'm pretty happy.

D/L ing now.... Version 7.2.1

Edit: Works just fine... Hopefully this fixes some of my MBP Airport Issues.... So far so good.

Hello,

What sort of issues were you having?

Mine's been relatively bullet proof other than the fact that my signal might drop to 4 or 3 bars from time to time despite the laptop being 15 feet away from the base station and not moving.

During random times, maybe once per day. My Internet would simply "Hang" and seem like it went down.

Nothing could connect Safari, Adium, Dashboard.... I would have to "Turn Off" my airport connection. Wait, about 10 seconds, and turn it back on for it to work. Now, we are good to go.

Fantastic!

This update has fixed a problem I'd been experiencing with my external HDD. Some folders would not display their entire contents when browsing over the network, I'd open a folder and it would be empty. If I plugged the HDD into my Mac or Windows PC I could see the files with no problem at all.

Good Work Mr :apple:

I just installed the update and now I have no internet connection wired or wireless. Any ideas for a fix?

The router won't let me revert...That was my first idea.

I got it...just took a few choice words and it worked for some reason.

I just picked up a good tip from the forums on Apple.com for getting a stubborn Airport Disk to show up again (I kept getting the "bad login" errors when I would try to connect). The trick was to hook the drive to a computer (e.g. my MacBook Pro), *properly eject it*, and then hook it up to the AEBS again. Problem solved. I think the new feature that turns my drive on and off shut it off in a bad state at some point.

I waited a few weeks to install my Airport update on my "N" airport extreme. I just ran the update yesterday and it seems that it has broken something. I was wondering if anybody here has an idea as to how I can go about fixing it.

I installed the update, ran it, airport restarted and everything looked fine. The network was up and I could talk with my AppleTV and computer to computer. However, I was unable to access any outside content. Nothing through safari or any chat client or when I try pinging various outside networks.

I'm running a dsl modem and when I connect the modem directly to any computer the problem is solved. It connects through DHCP and the hardware I am using to access (all having the same problem) are:

12" 1.33GHz G4 PB
24" 2.33Ghz C2D iMac
20" 2.0GHz G5 iMac
Dell XPS Laptop w/ intel wireless
40GB AppleTV
iPhone

I have tried restarting both the router and modem and no fixes as of yet. I am getting a full IP out of the Airport and it's light is showing solid green, also in "networks" it is showing airport as "connected to the internet."

Anyone have any thoughts? Do I need to do a hard reset?
