I'm Patrick from Logick LLC and I'm looking for feedback on an app that I just recently made. It's called FreeCell ++ Solitaire and is available on the App Store for FREE. It features classic FreeCell gameplay and even lets you challenge friends to beat your score on a deal that you just beat. I've spent a vast amount of time playing FreeCell myself, so I created an app that lives up to my standards, i.e. an app that I actually want to use.
If you're wondering what sets my app apart from all of the slew of Solitaire games on the App Store, it's actually a few things. First, I made sure to make readable graphics for the cards so you don't have to squint or strain your eyes to see what you are doing. I notice a lot of apps use the same card graphics as the desktop FreeCell and that just won't do. I also kept it graphically simple; no over-the-top animations or anything that would detract from your focus or the gameplay (FreeCell is a game of concentration and relaxation, after all
).
Second, my app turns the typical 1-player game of FreeCell Solitaire into an (almost) multiplayer game thanks to the Challenge feature. While you still play each deal by yourself using classic FreeCell rules, you can challenge other people to play the same deal as you by sharing a deal file that includes your score. If you have a really great game, you can text it to your friends and challenge them to beat your score. This added competitive element allows you to transcend the solitary nature of FreeCell Solitaire, while still keeping the original format and rules of the game.
Now for the third thing that sets my app apart from the rest: I'm a one-person team, so I do everything myself and read every email/tweet/post I get from my users because I want to give the best customer support and actually listen to people. Being only one person though, I need all the help I can get so please try my app and check me out on Twitter. Your support means a lot to me and is really helpful.
