After watching the new Apple Intelligence ads, I honestly started wondering is this Apple’s idea of who we are as users? People who can’t think for themselves, who need help with the most basic tasks, and who just sit back while the AI does all the work?

I understand the goal is to highlight convenience and innovation, but these ads almost portray users as lazy or, frankly, a bit clueless. Is that really the message Apple wants to send? That its technology is for people who’d rather not think?

It just feels like a strange way to position a product by lowering the bar for what we expect of ourselves.

If they want an ad that's engagingly relatable to a broad swath of the general American public, particularly young people who could potentially become longterm Apple customers, it may be the way to go. The message - you can do fun things, and it's simple, quick and easy, intuitive even.

It's like the old mindset of 'plug and play' peripherals.

It's not unlike the situation with photographic capability; there are many snap shooters for every 'photographer.'
