My one week old red case has changed colors lot

It looks more along the likes of the apple logo color.

I went through love hate with this case a lot of times, and am sure it will continue. Right now I like it.

Mind posting pics of it? I have the red case as well. About 3-4 days old.

Do the buttons become more responsive over time for you? I have the brown one

I haven't bought mine yet. I've seen several posts that say that the buttons do become easier to use as the leather softens up.

My red case was looking very dirty (black around the edges!) after only 3 days  Made the phone feel old, which I didn't like. I don't mind the ageing look of leather but the case looking dirty so quickly was a personal nono for me. Returned after some arguing with the carphone warehouse store manager, but have now swapped for a black case at the apple store (meadow hall seemed to have loads by the way!) first black case was a bit loose so swapped it as faulty with no problems. Was surprised at the difference in customer service at the two stores! Apple store all the way from now on.... :apple:

Does the power button responsiveness get better over time?

I found it did, yes- after about 2-3 days. But i swapped my case so am now back to square one :p

If bought in a CPW can you return to Apple store? Also what was problem with manager? Would he not accept just because dirty? What did you say?

Bought my red at CPW but worried on it getting dirty. How long did you have it before returning?

Was dead set on getting the red but got the black at the last minute. Glad I did, had it for 2 weeks now and still looks perfect.

I tried:

- Red
- Yellow
- Tan

They all started looking dirty after ~4 days or so..

Then, got the Black and been great since :) except my ATH-M50s don't fit anymore.. but the V-Moda M-100s do so all is well..

If you buy from CPW, you can only return to CPW I believe. In meadow hall, Sheffield there is a CPW right next door to the apple store so I went there to buy a new case afterwards.

The manager was insistant he didn't want to return it. Frankly, he was just a liar. He even said the original £34.99 was never debited to my account! luckily I had a bank statement on my phone to prove it the money had been taken. He also said I returned it outside of the window, except i was on day 13 of the 14 day return policy. I returned it under the fact it was faulty, a £35 case shouldn't look so awful after THREE days. Scuff to the leather I appreciate will happen, but should it look simply dirty, from just general use? Not in my opinion. I eventually after consistently arguing and being very persistent I played the statutory rights card, saying how a 'product should last a reasonable amount of time' etc etc where he gave in. I also had the original packaging which may have helped. The manager was just one of these jobs worthy 22 year olds who think they know best. To be fair, he was plain rude. He even decided throw a few comments my way, saying it was 'obsurd you're a student yet you have a new iphone'. Hmmmmm.

I was really set on the brown but in person it was just a little too light for my tastes. The red looked really sweet but again just a little too light. I opted for the black. It looks great and you can't go wrong with the black combo.

I really would have loved a space grey leather or maybe charcoal and an olive green. But the black is great for now

Doesnt look too bad to me. My red case is still unused but if it stay in this condition I'll definitelly keep it.

I actually just went to the apple store a bit ago and returned it.

It was not going to stay like the pics and every day it was getting worse and worse. I didn't want to deal with it. For the price I expect more

So do you guys return dirty underwear after wearing it for 2 weeks? I understand why the manager did not want to take it. Not really defective. Wash your hands once in a while, and keep it out of the dirt and you will be fine.

Unless you put your phone down your pants it's not the same at all. Very poor analogy.

That doesn't look bad at all. The edges I can see are dark but that is expected. I'd keep it. The only way to hide that is buying the black case.
