I have an solution for all of you hipsters. Use your phone as it was intended to be used... If your phone needed a case it would have came with a case.

Ummm yeah .... so if a battery-powered gadget doesn't come with batteries it, that means it doesn't need them?

I'll stop using a case if you buy me a new phone every time mine gets a scratch.

Hows the wear on the beige?

I bought the beige case yesterday and I'll return back tomorrow to apple store... I've been reading about wearing in these cases, but this is too much for me. iPhone have been for 2 hours in my pocket (black jeans) and the case looks really worn (not like old leather).

It's a shame because I really like the look and feel of these cases.

Finally had FedEx drop off an envelope containing my black leather case yesterday, and I'm pretty impressed. The leather has a great feel and the fit is excellent as well. Of course the leather is thin...as is the case, so the durability has yet to be seen, and you've got to know its ability to protect the phone in case of a real fall is probably minimal.

I'll report back, but so far I'm glad I bought it...even for the $40 price tag. It ads a bit more goodness to my iPhone & that's always welcome.

Probably the single dumbest post I've seen here in some time.

Have you seen this? It actually did surprisingly well on the drop test, at least in protecting the phone. :) I had to look away at the moments of impact though... too scary to watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3XsAh_32Ik

Those hands do yard work?? :D

So imma hipster since I use a case? Saweeet!

That is not wear, that is patina for lack of a better word.

It will discolor pretty quickly so be prepared. If you think that will be an issue I'd just take it back for a darker color and save yourself some manufactured heart ache.

Hi AFDoc, I have only had this case for a couple of weeks, really disapointed. What do you mean by patina?

I have to say, I totally disagree with this statement. Where did you get that solution from?

I have a tip for everyone...if you wash off your case (which I have done before without issue) do not be impatient and think..."how can I dry this faster...I know...Toaster Over".

Well, I am now going to get the black case. No worries about a sooty look on that one.

The wear is bad on ur casing. Kinda make the whole outlook of the phone cheap

I didn't mind the dark brown on the edges. What I did not like was the black/ sooty look on the back of the brown phone case. Mine looked like an auto mechanic used the phone after changing some plugs.

On a side note: It is funny to me how they all appear to be aging in the same manner, as my brown, one (1) month old, case looked exactly like yours...until today.

I may be alone, but I really like that look and the aging of the leather. I initially wanted brown for my space gray but went black because the brown looked orange to me.

I am getting a black case after trashing my brown case. I think it will hold up better.

Here are pics of my "toasted" case. I thought it would give everyone a sense of how thick the leather is on the case.
