WOW that actually looks really nice. How long and at what temperature did you keep yours in?

LOL...I do NOT recommend placing you case in a toaster over!

I had just hand washed mine (attempting to remove the sooty look off the back), which is fairly safe to do; but, I got impatient with its drying time. So, I got the "bright" idea to warm it in the toaster oven. It was in there for just a few minutes at the lowest setting.

The process ended up warping the case (see puffy middle)...I am dumb...I know...learn from my failure...maybe if I microwaved it...naw...

New Apple Leather Case

I may be alone, but I really like that look and the aging of the leather. I initially wanted brown for my space gray but went black because the brown looked orange to me.

You're probably not alone but I think it looks horrible.

Do you expect leather to show no signs of wear through daily use?

I think the issue is how worn it can look in a short period. On an 1963 Aston Martin DB5 or a Louis Vuitton bag, aging can add character or individuality. On a $40 high tech phone covering, it looks wrong. I think in particular the brown case also is highly susceptible to coloring from blue jeans and quickly looks old at the corners - not in a classic way, but in an old phone case way. I really wanted to like the look, but phone cases have yet to achieve the character of finely aged Connolly leather in classic sports car.

PM me if you want it !

I've been rocking the black leather case for almost a month now and it looks as good as it did the day it came out of the package. Feels better though as the leather gets broken in.

Fave phone case ever and I've been through many.

I am getting a black case after trashing my brown case. I think it will hold up better.

You really can't go wrong with the black case. I've had mine for four weeks and no issues whatsoever. Since it's a soft leather, I have two very tiny nicks in the leather, but that doesn't bother me in the least.

I think the black leather makes for a fantastic case.

New issue for me is a break in the leather at the headphone jack. Happened as I was attempting to remove my phone for cleaning. Shouldn't be an issue to swap it out.

Ouch! Are you getting another red one, or trying a different color?

I purchased my red leather case (as well as a yellow one) the moment I received my iPhone (Oct 2nd) and it was spectacular the moment I began using it.

After a few weeks of using the case its really showing that its a dirt magnet. Portions of the case look great from the grime of day to day use however alone the edges it's rather disgusting. It's almost as if I purchased a red case with black accents around the edges. Currently there is no damage noticeable to the case, just a change in colorization.

I attempted cleaning the case and the ending result just causes the dirt to ignite and become more noticeable. I'm rather scared to use my yellow case as it'll become a bumble bee in no time.

At the end of the day though, the case packaging does specify that it will change in colour over time due to usage, and I still love the feel of the case.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to clean the case up a bit?

Bought one last week. Love it. Makes me wonder why I bought so many other ones, when I should have just gone for the firm that makes the phone.

Looks like mine is about to do this, will apple swap it for me even though I am out of the 14 days return??

The dimensions between the 5 and the 5S are the same, so the leather case will fit very snug on the 5 like it is on the 5s

Thank you! After I posted this I did something crazy...I actually looked at the :apple: website and found my answer. Why didn't I think of that before? :p

Store allowed me to swap my "aged" brown one for a black one at 30 days with receipt and packaging - with managers approval.

I think holding a 30 day old new item that looks like it was a relic from an archeological dig probably helped
