I got the black one yesterday :)
I hated the black candy shell from speck. It felt sturdy, but the smudges stands out. Love how it is slimmer again.

Love the black case, have had it on a while.

Problem is I just ordered via priority mail from lucky skins over a week ago. Wanted the retro apple. Still nothing. Contacted them and it was horrible customer service. "It's in the mail so nothing we can do". Wouldn't recommend them.

To their credit they did credit me my shipping. There was some error somewhere as the packaged went from Philly to Brooklyn even though I live in pa.

Kudos to luckyskins. They refunded the entire purchase and are trying to contact USPS. Faith restored. I don't expect the package to be delivered at this point as it is back at the same post office in Philly that it was at last Friday. Slight detour in Brooklyn. :)

I accidentally broke my leather case around the dock connector when taking it off the other day (dumb, I know). So I decided to Dremel it into a dockable/snap case. Aged it a bit too while I was at it. Came out to my liking. It isn't perfectly cut, but I smoothed it out so it didn't feel too rough.

Not bad at all.

My red is. It what I'd call worn, but dirty now. Had it about 3 months. Can I return, I don't have the receipt, can't remember if I bought from Apple (UK) store or not though, although I think all product(RED) are only available Apple online or Apple store are they not?

What can I say if so to Apple? Or is it just tough? Anyway to clean it?

Thanks

The case has a 1 year warranty I believe. I went to the Apple Store and they exchanged it for a black. That's US though, not sure about UK.

Tried cleaning it and it was MUCH worse. The red started coming off.

Is the warranty for a "dirty" case though? It states it will wear over time, is this not Apple's get out clause?

That's pretty cool. Do you have a picture of it docked?

Got my case around the time they were announced. Recently it seems as if the case has a "crack" somewhere in it as it feels a little flimsy and won't fully cover the phone. Well a few days later I dropped my phone from waist height. To my surprise, the case actually partly popped off from the drop and my phone was scuffed up.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm bummed that my 40$ case is already not useable about 4 months into it's life.

Now I'm back to my 10$ spigen case which gets the job done at least

And why didn't you speak to Apple. If your phone popped out, it was brohen. Try to get an exchange. At least then you can sell it.

Sure! Excuse the poor quality. The iPad mini camera still isn't that great.

Thats great that you can get it docked. Before you showed the photo, I thought it would fit in the apple iPhone dock though. That would make me take out the dremel in a heartbeat.

I think I might try and take it to the store. Of course now the case is dinged up from being dropped so I'm not sure how much my word will stand up lol but I guess its worth a shot.

has anyones case left marks around where the camera cutout is on the glass? Mine seems to have made marks which i can't seem to get off..

I picked up a black one over the weekend and definitely liked it better than the brown one. I've reverted back to my old case so if anyone is interested in grabbing my black one from me for cheap then shoot me a PM or email to djransomm@gmail.com.

I like mine. But prefer a Diztronic TPU. The reason? I can't get behind the greasy feeling to the leather. I tried two of them. Brown and black and after a few days they got the same greasy feeling. But they are still great cases.

I started to notice that my case was getting much easier to take on and off.
Then I realized it had split at the silent switch hole.
My case is black so it is impossible to see the split, looks perfectly normal.
But now removing it is a dream. I almost suggest everyone doing it.

I just realized today that invent removed my phone even once from my black case since the say I bought it...and for me, that's unheard of. In fact, this case is the best I've seen for the iPhone 5/5s, seriously. It's a world record.

It's showing only the smallest signs of wear & I've had lots of people comment how cool it looked. :)

Hi, caejakester.

How do you clean the case? Do you also clean the inside (microfiber) part? If so, how? I'd be interested to know.

i clean only the outside once a week, the microfiber doesn't need to be cleaned since it just touches the phone. i take the conditioner and work it in with my fingers, once it is absorbed, i take a paper towel and rub off the excess. the result is a nice soft clean case.:D
