I decided not to use cases anymore, since the stainless band got scratched up pretty badly by switching cases (multiple colours) often. Been using without a case for 2 months now and no problemo, just 1 silly little scratch on the band.

It appears you viewed cases as fashion rather than protection accessories?

Why not just stick with one case (I can recommend the Apple Silicone, as it has felt lining on inner back & sides)?

So now you're risking more damage by not using a case at all, as it prevents minor scratches caused by swapping cases?

Just trying to make sense of this...

Ordered online with free shipping. As we have the long Easter weekend coming up, I'll receive mine next Tuesday.
I received mine right after Easter but as I was travelling after that, didn't get a chance to take pics. My iPhone X is now wearing this case all the time, it's drop-dead gorgeous :D

I'm posting some pics below, I've noticed that some white-ish "stripes" have appeared on the case now as well as some minor stains on the edges. Anyone has an idea what these stripes are, are these normal or is there a way to make them go away?

I love the Apple cases, but the open bottom simply scares the heck out of me. I know most of you haven’t had an issue w dropping your iPhone exactly on that exposed bottom area, but there are plenty on the internet who have.

As much as I want to keep the black iPhone X silicone case, I’m returning it and leaving my black/black Speck Presidio Grip case on. This Speck case might be the best case in regards to the thinness over protection ratio. Additionally, the grips do much a huge difference not only w handling it, but also w the phone not accidentally sliding when place on a counter, car console, etc.

I've had iPhones for 10 years and never ever dropped one on the exposed bottom area. I've always had cases that are open in the bottom because this allows me to use 3rd party docking stations without the need to remove the case beforehand.
But if using a full case makes you feel better, why not :)

Yes and most on forums like these (I’ve read others) haven’t had issues like you.

I just don’t get when someone thinks that they rarely or won’t drop their phone much. Who can predict the future and accidents happen, no?

Of course not. But then, risk is part of life, isn't it ? :) doesn't mean I won't take care of my device in the best way I can. Everything beyond that is residual risk that I'm willing to accept.

Orang and blue look awesome. Went with orange (since i have cosmos blue)... the corners are already blue/black after a week of use. Happened to all my Apple leather cases, good thing im ok with it  My wife on the other hand...

I have had every iPhone in every size since 4S, only damage ever was a 7 plus jet black in a Apple leather, dropped it putting it in a brodit car holder and fell on the seat rail and put dint in bottom near speaker, any other case wouldn't of mattered. My fault of course but it can happen.

I had a similar thing happen to my 6S Plus a few years ago with an Apple leather case. The phone fell between the car seats, hit the metal seat track, and dented the charging port area on the bottom of the phone.

My bright orange leather case came, absolutely love it

I got one 2 weeks ago. I was skeptical about the "Patina" on the leather cases as I'm not a fan of that look. I missed the chance to get the Spicy Orange Silicone case, so picked up the Bright Orange Leather case, and 2 weeks later it still looks brand new, no patina so far. :D Very pleased with it.

Anyone got the Grey leather? I have one coming but after reading seems it looks black anyway which i can pick up locally.

I actually like when cases patina so I’m excited to see how it ages just like my electrical blue leather case as well.

I do. It looks more like a faded black at first, but over time and with patina it becomes more and more black looking. My friend has black and if I can get a photo comparison, I will share.

Charcoal Grey next to by black kindle, this case is perfect no marks/creases, no bows out on edges and its not slippery.

Yeah, but it's not. It's more like stains. As they weren't there when I unpacked the case, I'm assuming I must have gotten them elsewhere. Maybe from cleaning the case with a wet cleaning wipe. Maybe they're caused by the alcohol contained on these wipes?
