From what I remembered, the last one I remember seeing it the one with the iMac G4 with the black guy and how the iMac immitated him. But now that someone mentioned the PowerMac G5 one, I remember that one too! I would really like to see some Apple Macintosh ads.

It's a shame that the Errol Morris/Apple relationship fizzled. The previous switch ads were so great and funny. I thought it was great that Ellen Feiss's under-the-influence behaviour made her into a cult icon. We miss you, Ellen!

All I ever see anymore is Ipod and Ipod Mini commericals, but have yet to see commericals for the Mac mini or Ipod shuffle.

i hope thinksecret is wrong

i was reelly looking forward to mac ads, ENOUGH WITH THE IPOD thats not even what the company is about. is acomputer company. and ads can reelly make macs more popular. god! i hope thinksecret is wrong, kuz they really can't wait a year for these ads.

Apple is more than just a computer company though they have evolved beoyind that, and people need to realize that. The company I work for, a Service Provider, essentially went through the exact same thing (as have most SPs). We started off being just a telephone company. Many people criticized us when we started offering High Speed Internet, Digital TV over DSL, Home Security, VoIP, etc., saying that we were a phone company and should stick to being a phone company. I can tell you with 100% certainty though that if we hadn't evolved and adapted, we wouldn't be around today. It's the same situation with Apple - they may have started simply as a computer company, and sure, that's their foundation, but they have grown to something more than that now, which I think is excellent - and necessary.

"Ever wonder why Mac users smile more?"

First of all, is this even true?
:)

I guess one can hardly consider this an ad campaign, but I just now (seconds ago) received the Apple Store eNews (in Europe) and thought it was very nicely done. Nice little easy-to-digest summary of Mac benefits in plain speak (to PC users). Very short and sweet.

The subject line reads "Ever wonder why Mac users smile more?"

Then when you open it, the main title says "Add a little Mac to your life" (main visual is a photo of Mac mini -- get it... add a "little Mac" to your life?). Unlike a lot of the other techy communication tools I've seen in the past, this is a simple little email my Mom can understand.

Like I said, not quite a campaign, but thought I'd share it with you since most of you are Mac users in the US and therefore won't receive it. (I always receive two different emails on two different email accounts, because my old account has me registered as a PC user still.)

Here's the link...
