Anyone else still rocking a series0? Mine is still going strong, though it’s missing many new features due to the lack of updates. Battery has held up well after many years of daily use.
I wore my release-day series 0 every day right up until my release-day series 5 arrived. I liked the S0 a lot (battery held up well, case still looks good, screen is pristine), but I'd be quite sad to go back to it after getting used to the S5. Bigger brighter screen, waterproof, useful speaker, and OMG it's so incredibly much faster - I can fully use it as intended now, instead of it being mostly just an always-accurate watch with notifications.

It’s been through hell(I’m a welder, and is a little worse for wear.
That's an understatement - that's the most beat-up Apple Watch I've seen - impressive that it still runs. Pretty good for a v1.0 design.

After finally upgrading my own Apple Watch I gifted my old S0 SS 40mm to a friend who has an iPhone and he is delighted with it.
If $100 is all you are getting then do as I did, give the gift.
Help spread the word about how good these devices are.
Unless you've owned and used one you'll never know what you are missing. <q haters>

Apple Watch Series 2:
“While it doesn't qualify for trade-in value, just send it to us and we’ll recycle it for free.”
HUH?

I wish they would sell the old watches for $100. I’ve always wanted an Apple Watch. They’ve been out forever. 😣

Sold my series 2 on eBay today for $119. If you're truly getting $100 for a series 2, then after eBay/Paypal fees, it's close to a wash. But I'm guessing most aren't getting over $80.

eBay.com - but consider getting a more recent one. I upgraded to the series 5 and I wear it almost every day. I wore my series 2 a few times a month or only when I ran distance because of the annoyances and missing features. Other than a still small display, it's a good piece of gear. They need a 50mm option for us big guys that like big watches. Almost all of my time pieces are 52mm.

Well if anyone is thinking about trading in their Apple Watch, I might be interested in buying it off you for a bit more than this trade-in value!

I can't recommend the Apple Watch Series 5 highly enough. If you're not on board the current generation speed train, that is both always on, and always on time - get your ticket now! This trade-in promo seriously is an insanely great deal for pretty much everyone. (EDIT: OK, maybe not for Series 4 owners :))

Personally, I wouldn’t trade my Apple Watch in, unless I wanted to Avoid selling out right to a complete stranger. You can make so much more from ‘personal resale’ versus trade-in, but I guess it depends what someone values, but I also understand for those who want to avoid strangers/haggling, etc.

I wonder if you can do the trade-in at the Apple retail store rather than having to ship the older watch in?

I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to. Have they stopped allowing in-store trade ins? Last time I traded something in with Apple was for my series 3 watch to series 4 watch. I think it was $100 back then also.

I'm waiting for some new ceramic colors like the previous grey and maybe a new ceramic color like red.

If and when you upgrade your going to be BLOWN away.

That said, yes, I still have a S0. Its still in its sealed original box wrapped in bubble wrap and tucked away in a safe place. I'm hoping that somewhere around the 10th anniversary of the apple watch that someone will pay me handsomely for it.

I’ve used the sample units on display before. They are amazingly fast by comparison. I’m actually glad I’ve held out so long. The series5 is the most meaningful upgrade to date, IMO.

I see the 5 as the "s" to the 4. If I recall correctly they are nearly identical in specs, but the 5 has the option for an always-on display which was not enough to make me upgrade from my S4. I sleep with my watch on so I'm not sure how that would work. This is how I see the Apple Watch generations:
S0 and S0s (aka S1)
S2 and S2s (aka S3)
S4 and S4s (aka S5)

If you have waited this long, you might consider waiting for the S6. Worst thing that could happen is you pick up an S5 at a discount.

a $100 for my S4 SS ..no thanks...
I do have a series 3 black SS sitting in my drawer that was supposed to be for my brother but "didn't want it" 🤷‍♂️ can I trade it in and get a gift card to be used in September when series 6 comes out...

You'd be better off selling it through local online channels for $340CAN/$300US and then purchasing Apple Stock. Holding it until September you'd get maybe $1.44 dividend and most likely another $20 on stock value (or worse or less ... caution is it is a gamble; choose at your OWN risk! I gaurantee nothing). Then sell in September or keep it.

To me that would be the smart game.
