Just thought I would mention this since people were asking...
For those who's contract was renewed before 02/13/14 they are allowing you to switch to this plan with the $15 per line price. Any future subsidized upgrades will bump that number to $40 per line (or require next).
The FAN discounts is on the first line (the $100, or larger if you have a larger data package), so that should be incredibly easy for most to calculate.
At the end of the day, this would be cheaper for my family for the first year while we are locked in contracts but still being allowed to take this promotion. After that honeymoon period this is no better (maybe worse, since two of my lines have unlimited, one of which sits around 5GB a month) than what we currently have.

No, I'm right. There are countless treads here of AT&T throttling Unlimited Data people.
You can choose to believe what you want, but they, like every other corporation, doesn't "care" about you. You are a number. They will stop Unlimited Data in the future. No matter how much you spend, once they decide it's over, it's over.
LOL at "multiple lines" meaning two. Two. Yeah, they would close up shop without you.
They can certainly do that (get rid of unlimited - though not while people are still signing contracts. I am safe with one of my lines for, at the least, another year and a half, the other, about eight months). Or they can keep moving towards making it cost prohibitive for people to keep unlimited. There are a lot of people, in this very thread, mentioning that with how little they use, this new plan structure makes it worth it for them to bail.
I am close, sort of, but I use enough on one of my lines to make it worth still sticking it out with the unlimited. By the way, I HAVE been throttled once now, but was still getting data plenty fast enough to stream even video. Mileage varies for various people. But if you figure the unlimited data plan is actually $30 for 5GB, that means I would still like to see the $100 shared plan starting at 15GB.
Their costs of service have become a lot more reasonable, and this is directly due to competition. I think that's a wonderful thing, and am personally all for it.
By the way, if they enacted data rollover, I think that would be a show stopper. Add that to their current plans for no additional cost and you will see grandfathered folks flocking over. I pretty much guarantee it. And they really have no reason NOT to do that! I am sure I am not alone here in that I use more data when I am on vacation, or during the holidays. How nice would it be to be able to use those GB you paid for during the slow months during the times your family uses their phones much more heavily? Hell, they could even round DOWN (let's say you use 8.1/10GB, you get 1GB rollover) and people would eat it up. Did I mention show stopper?

FYI, throttling unlimitied data ≠ FORCING people to switch to shared data. You're getting AT&T and Verizon confused.
While it is entirely possible that it could happen, it doesn't seem likely looking at AT&Ts history and how they've handled this kind of situation in the past.
AFAIK, Verizon isn't forcing anyone either. They are simply not allowing them to use an upgrade. I admit it is a much more strict approach, but still not a forceful move.
At the end of the day, Verizon is in th abetter position. I don't believe there are any contracted folks left with unlimited plans. They could literally turn that plan off tomorrow with zero legal ramifications.
