New Best Buy Update! 2/14/2010

I work tomorrow and I'll see if I can find anything else about these skus and post some pics. :)

I'd think it would hurt Apple less to put out the 17" late, since they sell more of the 13" MBPs. And they also have a history of being late with the 17". But who knows.

These SKUs could also potentially be new high-end 13", new high-end 15", and 17" MBPs with the low-end 13" and 15" left as C2D. If this is anything.

You are correct. I checked RSS yesterday, and these dummy SKUs were not listed. Did you see that the 1,86GHz MBAir and the MacBook are both listed as deleted SKUs as well?

I really hope they don't leave out the 17". I need the 17". :(

Glad there's some news, even though the update may not be the 16th, or close or they might not even be new MBPs but good to see anyway.

On the last silent update, Macbook Unibody, I was going to a concert that day and since the venue was still closed and I needed to use the rest room, I went to the Best Buy nearby to use their facilities.

Now that's you've heard my life story, I'll cut to the chase, this Best Buy had the new models the same day, I was very surprised.

Phew, another good rumor, I was getting board with just discussion of the last few, something new for a day or 2! Thanks!
 
I don't honestly believe that apple wouldn't update all the macbook pros, however it does bug me that people assume the 13" will be dropped, especially considering it is the most popular mac. There is probably a greater chance that the 17" will not be updated immediately... it's happened before. Or maybe apple is switching the macbook pros to 16:9 and the screen sizes will change. ie. 13" goes to 14" and 15" goes to 16" and thats it. That way apple may be able to fit a decent gpu into the now 14" enclosure and the now 16" would be almost as large as the 17" anyway (and with a higher resolution probably to compensate). HOW BOUT THAT! :apple:

well,it seems so real and i also hope the new macbook pro is coming.But i disappointed by these rummors soooooooooo many times, i rather to believe it is not true. Hopefully, i am wrong.

I like it, but I think you are downplaying the 23rd - iPads do factor in to this equation, better to give them their own month.

I agree. Just not liking the lack of signs and rumors at the moment. Maybe that is also caused by this iPad you speak of.

I hope we do see it on the 23rd.

Although I have found this from February 15th, 2008-reports of dwindling inventories at Bestbuy.

less than two weeks before the update dropped for the Penryn Multitouch MBPs on the 26th:
