Why do people assume that 6,1 and 6,2 must be 15" and 17"? What if the 17" is left out?![]()
I believe we carry 5 mbp skus atm. This could be a partial update, I believe these were just added today.
I'd think it would hurt Apple less to put out the 17" late, since they sell more of the 13" MBPs. And they also have a history of being late with the 17". But who knows.
These SKUs could also potentially be new high-end 13", new high-end 15", and 17" MBPs with the low-end 13" and 15" left as C2D. If this is anything.
I work tomorrow and I'll see if I can find anything else about these skus and post some pics.![]()
Are the dummy SKUs just placeholders for new products?
Also, what is best buys history with having apple laptops on the day they are announced?
On the last silent update, Macbook Unibody, I was going to a concert that day and since the venue was still closed and I needed to use the rest room, I went to the Best Buy nearby to use their facilities.
Now that's you've heard my life story, I'll cut to the chase, this Best Buy had the new models the same day, I was very surprised.
here we go again....
Where/ who did you obtain this photo from? Legitimate sources?
Heh, you got that right. By 5:00 AM Tuesday this topic will be posted in once every twelve seconds, only to be followed by disappointment and grief when there isn't a release.
Haha, I understand the skepticism but I hope you're wrong. My tax return is burning a hole in my pocket.
Unibody was a silent update?
Edit: Nope

Do you mean the latest update?
A little research and I found that the last february Macbook Pro update was on February 26, 2008.
February 3rd was when we got word of placeholder SKUs in Best Buy's system:

3 Weeks!

Chances:
Tomorrow: 1%
February 23: 18%
March 2: 75%
March 9: 6%
All fingers point to these probabilities after a thorough 10-member-team statistical and metaphysical analysis of various data.

I like it, but I think you are downplaying the 23rd - iPads do factor in to this equation, better to give them their own month.
