does anyone know if the vibrate switch opening is cut larger then the apple bumper? I ordered a couple of these SW's before i learned of the slight difference in the verizon version. I think if its bigger like the sgp neo hybrid ex then it might still work. It seems as if the verizon cases will be ready after the phones is released and i want to protect when i get it. any thoughts? thanks

Just measured the opening on my clear-orange/white bumper and its around 8mm. Not sure if that'll be enough for the viPhone or not. It does look like there is a fair amount of space around it though. Time will tell I suppose.

Thanks for the info. the real X(unknown) is exactly how much the vibrate switch has been moved.

I'm sure it can be easily modified At $3.20 i couldn't hold back.

I believe the volume buttons on the verizon iPhone will be shifted as well. It's going to be rough finding a good case initially for verizon iphoners!

Edit: nope I'm wrong. Just read the engadget post about the widened hole in the revised bumper!

ok i received the black dock station that fits ok with bumpers

also in the package was another case which i forgot about it cause i made the order wayback in dec lol

ok first this dock works great for me

u can hear the alarm clock sound with the phone in the dock

also i have this cydia app called playawake which lets me pick a song as an alarm sound, that works too

I only tried this with the dock plugged to the wall ,cause thats how im going to use this dock

my phone is my alarm clock in the morning

the phone with the bumper on fits great in dock,it fits better than the phone with no bumper on the white dock, with that one i have to put the phone in a certain way & really push it in

this black one has more space so it fits with ease ,taking the phone in & out

no complaints so far

I also ordered the black dock that works with bumpers. While it does do that, it imparts a serious hum in my audio system when using both the 30-pin for charging and the line-out jack. It would make a great charger only, but is useless for audio. I had previously ordered the white version that doesn't work with bumpers, but with a little modification got it to work with bumpers and produces great sound.

UPDATE:
Yesterday I posted a review on the SW-Box site regarding my experience with their docks. I received this email from them overnight -
This is customer service representative from sw-box. Thanks for your feedback about the item: Docking Station Adapter for iPhone iPod (Working With Bumpers!) - Matte Black CODE: 40753. We have tested the item. When we use the original power adapter, there is no noise. Could you please use the original power adapter to check again? And please connect the phone with the dock well. If it can not work, please contact us again.

Turns out they are correct. I have 3 non-Apple usb cables and all induce a heavy hum in the audio signal, however using the OEM Apple cable with the Apple power adapter produces a clean, clear signal with the black bumper-friendly dock. The white dock seems to work well no matter what cable/power adapter configuration I use.

Kudos to SW-Box for paying attention to my concerns and responding.

I posted a review last night on sw-box and they also did not allow the review through. It was about the same problem and I got the same canned response.

what kind of speakers can i use with the dock station

its going to be plugged to the wall not a pc

Wow what happened to this thread

Im still using the bumpers

Buttons still intact

I have a red & a clear bumper

Both bumpers I bought months ago are still going strong.

I bought red/black and white/black.......I've been using the white one a lot more lately.

The screen protectors that I bought from them are also very good.

Anybody have a white one (white plastic with black rubber) that they might want to sell? I know they are cheap to buy but don't wanna wait a month. LMK.

got 2 back in december for my wife and myself... white/clear and black/clear respectively.

both are still great and have no issues.

My transparent/black one is just fine as well.

My girlfriend has been using the white/blue one for a while now. We had to put a spot of superglue to keep one of the buttons on, but that was at least a month ago and the other buttons have stayed intact. She throws her phone in her purse though, so it's not being treated very gently... is it sad that this upsets me?!?

over the weekend my black/clear bumper lost the - vol button. damn. well it lasted over 3 months. gone back to the apple one for now.

hmm... what to get next?

Question: Those with the white bumper with black, does it have the rubbery grippy texture like the original black Apple bumper or does it have the hard plasticy feel? TIA!
