yeah,i'm not sure why they haven't replied..i tried again but still,no reply..pretty disappointing, especially after everyone here is saying they have great customer service

Update: I emailed them again last night and got a response..turns out they may have had problems with their email servers..I explained the problem I had and they responded right away..they're replacing it under warranty..
Just wanted to mention that in case somebody here doesn't get a response right away..they're great and you can tell that they'd do whatever to make the customer happy..:)

So after a couple of weeks of regular use the case is starting to raise slightly by the volume buttons. I sent caudabe an email in hopes of getting a replacement. For $22 this shouldn't happen after a couple of weeks

This has happened on 2 XT cases I've had. After the first time I contacted Caudabe and they sent a replacement as their CS is first rate. Got the second case and within a week it did the same thing. I actually think that the original Veil is the better case of the two. The plastic by the volume buttons is thicker on the original thus less likely to get loose like the XT. That plastic strip above the volume buttons on the XT is just so damn thin.

Funny I see this thread now. I just received a replacement for this exact issue and the new one I got has a different volume button cutout than the old one. The new one isn't just one big cutout, but is separated into two little cutouts. I'm not sure how else to describe it, but it seems to make that general area a lot more durable. Time will tell. Interestingly enough, when I was asking for a replacement, they told me that some of the initial XT were defective. They didn't say what the defect was (nor did I ask), but it's an interesting coincidence that the volume button cutout has changed.

You know, I was thinking that would be a possible solution to the problem. Spigen did that on their copy of the Veil. Interesting to know that it has changed.

Yeah, it's much less "flappy" in the volume button area now, for lack of a better word. As a point of comparison I also got the 6 Plus XT at around the same time for my girlfriend and that arrived with this new two button cutout shape. So far hers doesn't exhibit any issues.

I got an email right away from their CS telling me they would send out a replacement. hopefully it has the new style cutout, looking at it closely I think that would solve the issue by reinforcing that area like you said.

Received mine today, I love it. Its really paper thin and feels like nothing, doesn't feel like $24 but man it looks sharp.

Edit: well after a few hours of use there's one huge drawback. My wedding ring leaves scratches on it at the slightest touch. I feel my ring slide across the back and cringe because i know it left a faint scratch. Photos included I don't know of the scratches will show. Oh well, lesson learned.

Has anyone seen the frost color do this?

I received my replacement case yesterday, wow that was fast. the volume button cutout has the new style with the 2 sections so hopefully my issue wont happen again. But I have to say I am impressed with caudabe's CS, in that regard its worth the $24 for the case, you also pay for the CS that comes with it.

Hopefully, I get the updated version of the XT then. I just ordered today for my iPhone 6+

USPS international mail is very inefficient...They shipped mine on 8th, now the status show that it was in Chicago on 12th...and no further updates. Anyway i am in Hong Kong...

I notice the same on both the Caudabe and Shumuri. Mine isn't as scratched as yours but has scratches on the inside from my fingernails during the install, which can be clearly seen from the outside.

I truly love the super thin profile of these cases but would love to know how you hold on to the phone. I find them super slippery - as slippery as the naked phone. When using them I found myself always putting forth the extra effort to be super careful when handling my phone.

Agreed. Exceedingly responsive support and very easy to deal with. Couldn't be more complimentary about my experience with them.

last night first phone drop with the XT, all i can say. the XT its just crap a very little drop and the case got an ugly mark as you can see. back to the ringke slim just a waiste of money.

To be fair... This case is not used for any protection other than for scratches. So I don't know what you expected from this case with the way it's built...

I just received today one of the cheap ones from china and I prefer it. It is much darker and that's the biggest drawback, I love the transparency of the veil and this one isn't as transparent. It also has the open bottom and no camera ridge. But I do have a skin underneath it and it actually sits flush with the camera because of that.
But on the plus side it is much more resistant to scratches and it has way more grip.

Just got mine today! It is really the most perfect case i've ever had. All the cutoffs are perfectly fit and the colour is better than LAUT. So happy with it.

Can anyone tell me whether the caudabe veil xt or not, works with a bestskinsever case optimized back?

Great photos and glad you like it. I have the Shumuri version in the frost color for my white phone. I love the sleek form but find it a little slippery. I wonder if the Caudabe has better grip.

I think both cases have the same grip, I have a silver shumuri, compare with veil xt, I think veil xt is smoother!

I had actually placed an order and then cancelled it. For me, I just need a little bit more grip. I love the slim look of the Caudabe but am afraid I'll end up not using it and it'll collect dust.

I've had my veil xt for 6 plus less than 2 weeks, I mostly use when I'm at home. The case cracked near the headphone jack and there is a scratch on the back which I have no idea how it got there. Decided to email Caudabe with pics for a warranty replacement. I do live in Canada and bought my case directly from the Caudabe website. This is the response I got:

Thanks for the email and photos. As you may have noticed in the warranty policy on our website, warranty replacements really only apply to US orders. Having said that, I spoke to our supervisor about your issue and was able to obtain approval for a one-time exception to send you a replacement. It'll ship out to you shortly. Please let us know how you like it!

Very impressed so far with Caudabe customer service. Will update once I receive the replacement.

That case is very sleek looking. I am interested in finding one for myself! Thank you very much for sharing this information, and I assure you it will alter the course of my future actions.

It can and it did, speaking from personal experience. Used long enough, the Apple leather case will get scratched up quite a bit and start wearing in the corners.

Probably due to it being made from cheap leather although I'm not convinced it is even leather looking at the way it has worn for some and the way it felt when I looked at them in the Apple Store.

Yeah I developed a crack by the headphone jack on my XT. An email and some photos of the crack and 1 week later I just got a replacement in the mail.

Caudabe's customer service is exceptional!
