What time will they be announced tomorrow?
If I show up at my local Apple store ready to buy a 13' tomorrow at 7pm, will they have them?

I'm thinking about heading out tomorrow evening after work as well. U Valle the local apple store and they said
They can proceed with the orders till apple officially announces something. Said generally they have them on release day or the day after. Local bestbuy had no idea tree was a model change in the works said most likely next week for them if it does indeed get released tomorrow.

I overheard a sales rep in the Apple store say that the new Mac Pros were going to be gold plated!! I'm not counting my chickens though!!!

I really thought traffic on this thread was gonna pick up quite a bit by now with all the excitement. Tomorrow morning is going to drag on forever!

On another note, here's an interesting tidbit: https://www.macrumors.com/2011/02/23/macbook-pro-specs-lightpeak-known-as-thunderbolt/

I'm disappointed by the screen resolution (I would've liked 1440x900 like the 13" MacBook Air), but IF this is the low end model, then there should be an option to upgrade, right? Also, I don't see anything mentioning a SSD for the OS.....

But I do find it odd that the size and weight are identical to the current 13" MacBook Pro model. If I had to guess, I'd say Apple is doing away with the plastic MacBook and replacing it with this one.

I think everyone is anxious and too afraid to type lol.. Let's see what happens. I don't have my hopes set too high since no pics leaked at all.

Well it's 7.00 am here in the UK on Thursday the 24th February 2011, still not showing on the apple site. I guess we have to wait till a reasonable time in appleland time?

The Sales Rep reckons the Mac Pros are going to be updated as well as the MacBook Pros? I think you're joking.

I love the fact that the new 15" MBP still has a 16:10 ratio and still has the SuperDrive. But it is a little disappointing considering all the "confirmed" rumors from "trusted sources" the last few days. What happened to 1680x1050 as the standard resolution on the 15"? What happened to all of the MBPs including a small SSD drive just for the OS? Next time I'll know not to pay any attention to rumors. It does seem strange that so many rumors ended up wrong... did anyone put out a correct rumor at all? I'm surprised the correct information doesn't leak out from an Apple employee or two - it's not like Apple would ever find out who they are, they could always post from a Panera and no one would know who they are.

I would say that it basically comes down to a few blogs completely making up rumours to boost their traffic...
And since everyone was anxious for the refresh, the big sites like macrumors reposted it, creating many expectations that only ended in disappointment with the actual refresh
