Yes I know you would feel much better paying separately for your cable and buds.
I wonder if you would be the first in line to complain if you had to.

Audio is a subjective thing, one of the main reasons for tone controls.

Don't let Apple or Giz-dodo tell you what to like or hate.
Check it out for yourself.

If you are happy with it, well job one is done.

Im a bit of an Audiophile, and kinda have a hate hate relationship with the Apple buds and Monster stuff. Only cause for what you pay, you can do so so much better.

Though, yeah you are right, its a personal subjective thing. One persons trash is another persons treasure and vice versa.

Used to be until Apple jailed and raided the Asian guy and banned them from events. Gizmodo pretty much hates Apple now.

Really they are? I thought they didn't like Apple since Apple won't let them back to any of their events. Although to be honest I stopped reading Gizmodo, I think their articles are written poorly.

Probably never even going to touch them. Nothing will replace my Monster Turbine Pro Gold IEMs. Yeah, I know, Monster, but these are actually a good product.

Gizmodo's articles make me feel like I'm reading an angry teenager's opinion. Yea I know that's what they're known for but just can't take them seriously for that.

My apologies. I guess "hate" is too strong a word and I should have been clearer when commenting. I wasn't exactly referring to this thread. I was referring to other other (old) threads or reviews from other website regarding the apple earphone. And people really hate it.

I wanted to buy the Beats Tour earphone because I really like the design, so I did some search on it. Many of those who bought other ear/headphone really hate the apple earphone. It fall off the ears, lousy sound quality, easily broken, etc. And since a few of the comments here were commenting about the quality of the earphone, I was just stating my thoughts. Granted, I'm not an audiophile, but for the general population, I think it's a decent earphone. Although I think the pricing is crap if you have to buy separately.
