In a News.com story, Apple has invited journalists via email to Apple's headquarters next week for the release of some "fun new products."

Differing from previous invitations, Apple gives no hint as to what the expected releases are going to be - only the date of February 28th on a calendar.
Apple has hosted a number of these media events in the past to launch new products.

Wooo..... what could that be? Sounds fun, though. ;)

Will it use a multi touch user interface perhaps? The iPod video thing?

Perhaps Asteroid finally sees the light of day. I know that I have been waiting for that before I deceide what type of Firewire breakout box I finally get.

Watch the rumors fly

Finally...something to get the buzz started again. These quiet little Tuesday updates were becoming too "typical" of Apple :)

Can't wait to see what NEW products they are :D

Well it says a "new" product, so maybe it is actually something new that they haven't released a previous version of. Hopefully a taplet.

Am I the only one who has been underwhelmed by previous Apple announcements like this?

I'm not expecting anything spectacular especially not with the catch line 'fun new products'. I would love to see new macs but I suspect it will be consumer software or ipod/itunes related... yet again.

and so here we are.. at mac os x 10.4.5 and iCal still says jul 17 when not opened... *tear.. porque apple? porque?:( :( :p

I think this is what everyone has been waiting for!!!!!!
After reading all the speculation on this site, they have decided to give all us Mac geeks every product we could possibly imagin... Thanks Apple

OR Maybe they will cancel the Macbook line since it's been out so long (It's already obsolete you know) And give use something new.
Sorry to all you new MBP buyers...

This clearly has to do with more Video stuff. I bet it's the Video Airport Express along with maybe in an iPod accessory (or accessories). Total speculation on my part, but that's why we are all here. :p

It's that iPod Invisa.

He's thrilled about this.
Is that ever going to die?

My money is on 2 of the following 3: iPod video, Mac mini media center, Tablet mac
