I'm curious to see what iOS 6 brings now that ICS is really giving iOS a run for its money. Really hoping for voice navigation, better gmail integration, and above all, an improved keyboard (it's long overdue and really falling behind the competition). The browser could use updating too, in light of the features and improvements from the Chrome browser.

I'm more excited by the software than the hardware changes.

I think ease of use has put apple in a tough spot. Example a 95 Honda civic is easy to use and very reliable, a 11 BMW m5 is a lot more complicated and for that reason probably not as reliable as the Honda. Which would you rather have? AND which would you rather have if the BMW was less expensive but retained no retail?

I'd still lean toward the BMW. Sorry for the bad analogy btw lol.

Car analogies never work at MacRumors.

The rumor mill is rife with speculation that The Beast (Galaxy S3) will have a 4.7 inch whopper with 720p resolution.

THAT, is gonna be a sweet phone! :D

Don't we have these same threads each month or is this just the same one we refurb and throw back up each month?

OMG, that is exactly what Apple did with the 4s, (a refurb 4) how ironic :D

And we are now on 19 months (and counting) til Apple deliver's a "real" upgrade to the 4.
What a joke when Afanboyz exagerate that a high end Android comes out "almost" every month, and their Apple phone is almost 2 years old  They're clearly jealous that their choices are non existant in the Apple world.

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT ................ zZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZ

At this point I'm waiting for the next revolution..or at least until NFC becomes more popular in the uk.

Galaxy S2 does everything I need and more, with a decent battery life to boot.

Only thing it doesn't do is NFC, but there's only a handful of retailers here that support it and I don't use any of them!

Likewise with the iPad 2- there's nothing else I need.

I haven't got gadget envy for the first time in years :p

Honestly you can have all nice specs like a 720p screen and large screen but the fact is they still run Android. Especially if it runs 2.3, I wouldn't take a second look at them. IMO software is the most important aspect of a phone, great hardware and design like the 4S is also nice, but to me it's secondary.
ICS does look like a huge step up and in my limited use I've been impressed, but the ecosystem, design and general polish still isn't there.

There's a bit of a learning curve with android, but once you've set up android to your liking it's easier to use than the iPhone in my opinion. Most of the stuff I need is right on my home or lock screens as I can put widgets on both. And there's toggle widgets for various settings in the notification bar.

Easy peasy :)

Ya, Tim just doesn't do the hype as well as Steve did.

Steve Jobs has had some lackluster appearances as well. The product announcement & very awkward demonstration of the first iPad comes to mind lol

This is the first time in a long time that I am NOT that excited of MWC. I think owning 5 different phones with all three major OSes (iOS, Android, WP) to boot has something to do with that.

First time in years I don't have gadget envy. I have everything I need that I can use for the next 2-3 years. Even a newer iPhone in June won't excite me that much with a faster processor and better camera. You get to the point where things are more evolutionary than revolutionary. Same slate designed phones with a tweaked up hardware, software, and camera. It becomes OVERKILL when you have quad core phones that only has a 1-2 sec difference faster speed from the previous gen and the OS isn't optimized for that many cores to begin with. And GPU won't matter to me too much if I am not a hardcore gamer using a phone with no actual buttons.

Debatable, the Mercedes c, e or s class can't remember which is the pinochle of innovation. Every feature in nearly every car started there and trickled down. Won't be long before all cars have auto emergency braking.

There's a train of thought that says if you want to know what kind of tech will be on your car in 10 years time, look at a new Mercedes S Class spec today.

Interested in HTC's quad core phone, since they've stepped away from Qualcomm, whose processors are slower and moved to Tegra 3. Interested if Android will still lag.

Also interested in Nokia's N8 replacement cameraphone.

Too bad Galaxy S III won't be at MWC. Samsung must either have something very special or they are having problems and the phone is delayed.

It is weird, as newer Android phones come out, the ones that get the most of my attention, and the only ones I would ever want to carry, are the ones that are the same size as my iPhone...which so far makes the MyTouch Q my favorite Android phone, as well as the Samsung Conquer on Sprint.
