I welcome a new iteration because the AirPods Pro 3 aren't comfortable to me. Still using my trusty AirPod Pro 2s.

Airpods Ultra and the only extra feature is they come in black. In typical Apple fashion, it'll be anodised aluminium so they scratch on the first drop.

How about adding some glass too?

It'd be nice to juice the AppleCare+ division a bit here.

Did Apple fix the issues with the crackling sound on the Pro?

That was a hardware issue with gen 1. We haven't seen that in later generations.

More likely it’s something discussed at a meeting at Apple last week and has now been leaked, and will be a recurring rumour until the AirPods Pro 4 come out in 3 or 4 years time.

It will be yet another product where an update is imminent for the next 3 years like Air Tag 2, the next Apple TV 4K and the Apple Studio Display.
