The new Apple TV could be out as early as this Wednesday (November 19, 2025). That is unless Apple is preparing a totally new remote control, and that may delay the new Apple TV box to March 2026.

Agreed that this is the strangest part of this whole saga. Given multiple retailers have listed the product as 'end of life', 'clearance' and 'discontinued', they must have some sort of intel and justification for doing that.

Probably the reason Apple gave them for not resupplying when they said "our stock is low"

Apple still has them on their own website . . . just want to concentrate sales of remaining stock there I guess.

Except that the vast majority of consumers don't go to the Apple site to buy. So those are lost sales.

Oh for sure - not saying it makes sense for apple to get this low on stock. just speculating why other sellers have listed it as discontinued or whatever.
