Maybe - but with none of the smart features.

I'm in hotel rooms with my Macbook Pro, iPad, and iPhone.

I can bounce music, films, and even phone calls straight to my HomePod Mini.
The speaker is Bluetooth connected which means you can “bounce” all of the above mentioned & with better sound quality without having to keep it plugged in a power outlet for it to work. Want Siri? Connect your smartphone or MacBook. Good luck looking for power outlets in your hotel room. Class is dismissed.

I've got a Wonderboom.

The Homepod Mini is a much more flexible, sophisticated speaker.

If I want better sound quality I've got Airpod Maxes.

I find it so strange that we still don't have a broader availability of the HomePods, just a handful countries, and reasoning seems to be Siri not being supported in the HomePods in those languages. But it's not like Siri isn't available in these languages on iPhones or Macs.

But Siri is available in many of these countries. I speak to Siri in Swedish on my Apple TV all the time. (She gets it wrong most of the time, of course, but I don’t see how that would hinder a HomePod launch.)

That's my point, that Siri is available in Swedish as an example. But HomePod OS doesn't support it. If you try to set up a HomePod with Swedish, it'll tell you Siri isn't supported. It works fine besides that, but Siri can't be used.
