Doh, I hope mine ships NLT Monday so I could have it around the 3rd or so. I'm getting pretty anxious over here for my first Mac.
On a side note, my mini still hasn't shipped yet. Weird.

My iBook was listed as August 2nd, but about an hour ago it was changed from Manufacturing to Preparing Shipment, I think I can expect it to ship tomorrow afternoon. I wish I could go back and expedite it now.
I may be one of the firsts though, I ordered an old iBook July 17th, and I think I was one of the firsts to be moved to the updated iBook.

the apple tracking number the site uses will have a "W" in front of the right number. Check your receipt again.
The only number that starts with a W is the web order number. Not that I can find the order tracking facility anywhere on Apple's site myself.AcousticDoc said:

I got the stock 12 in iBook yesterday at the UTC Apple Store in San Diego/La Jolla....I asked about the 14 in version and they also seemed to have it in stock.
It is very very sweet...The screen seems a bit sharper too...

But with FedEX Express (the overnight, 2 Day or 2-3 day delivery), they only deliver on Saturday if you pay $10 extra.
This may have changed recently. I don't ship as much as I used to and many of the shipping companies seem to be doing stuff on Saturday (my Dell 2005FPW was shipped on a Saturday).

I called PowerMax this morning and asked when I should expect mine and got the answer of 1-3 weeks minimum. Do not expect it before Aug 8th.
I think that really stinks. I had an old one on order and on the 26th (pretty early in the morning) it got changed over to the new one. It is a BTO (60GB HD) but I mean cmon....1-3 WEEKS?

My status has changed to preparing shipment! It was originally supposed to ship on the 2nd of August. . .I ordered it the morning it came out (tho I was a bit late cuz I'm on the west coast). I got it BTO cuz I wanted an 80 gig hard drive. The wait times really aren't too bad!
