Ok, if it is real I will be forced to buy some ol' Apple Keyboards before they are ou of stock. Awful thing. I need keyboard to rise - it is much easier to type this way.
I was just thinking the same thing. I love the current Apple Keyboard (mainly because I like proper keyboards that don't click). As they're only $17 in my local store, I might have to pick a few up just in case, if they decide to discontinue it in favor of this thing.

Well if this is the one, it would seem to indicate that the iMac may still be white. I'm a bit disappointed, as I was hoping for a USB-charged lithium-ion wireless keyboard. That would be amazing.

Okay, not to bad. I'm assuming this would be come the new Apple keyboard board altogether, not just iMac, since every other desktop Mac has some sort or brushed metal look. The new layout might take some taking used to, but nothing bad there, and I'm liking that Apple is finally adding the dedicated iTunes buttons.

What about the @

...hmmmm.... I noticed that the @ has moved up over the "2" key... I have always loved that about mac keyboards, no shift-2, it's always right there under my right pinkie :D

If they've moved it, it's a mistake, so I almost hope it's a fake!! :p

A way to charge my wireless keyboard would be really nice. I hate having to keep an extra set of rechargeable batteries around. I have three sets of four, one for my key board, one to be split between the mouse and camera and one spare that can be charged and ready to go.

I like that the USB ports are underneath. The white USB plug will be hidden.

My @ is on the same key as 2 and Euro.

i rated this negative because i don't like the look at all. even with a brushed aluminum imac the old bluetooth keyboard would look better IMO. i hope apple comes up with something better and more stylish than that.

I agree 100%. This keyboard did not give me the normal WOW factor that I get from their products.

Interesting indeed! If it's real I suppose the :apple: logo being on the bottom and not on the top has something to do with the phase of production it's in. Does it sit on that round pedestal... that thing with the spot for the power adapter? Otherwise, the USB ports hang down very low in the back.

That's UK Mac Keyboard layout. PCs are different again. For some reason, Macs have always had the @ sign on the 2 in the UK, but I like it. It's quicker when it comes to typing emails.

No Apple-key? And why move the volume and eject keys to the inside instead of above the num key pad?

A new iMac keyboard... but maybe not THE new iMac keyboard

Look at the pic of the label on the underside a little more closely. The label lists the color combinations used: Sea Shell 1, Arctic White, Moon Gray. The date (6/20/07) is interesting. "Apple Development Team". My guess is that this is one of several different prototypes used by the ADT to test color combinations, key layouts, etc. The shape and size are probably very close to the production unit, but the colors and key layout may not be. In any case, these are not pictures of a production sample.

looks nice, but I'm not sure if I like it better then the current keyboard.. I'll have to see.

Also, is that a power button on the F4 key?

Apple's losing its taste.. Nothing (except the MB's keyboard) has given me a WOW factor since the 5th gen iPod was released. =\

On this image, does anyone know what's on F3 and F4? I know that the volume keys were shifted to make way for these keys, so can any one figure out what it is?

I hope that is real. That looks really cool. :D Looks like the new iMacs will be brushed aluminum after all!

Looks more than real enogh to me, however I am not sure I like the color. If the keyboard has that tan metal color then the new iMac is probably the same color. Ummmm

My @ is on the same key as 2 and Euro.

On my norwegian keyboard to the right of the "L" are two keys with norwegian special characters, and then a key with @ and *... On the 2 button it's the ". The Euro-sign is on the 4 (have to option-4 it though).

I think this is legitimate! Looks like it would be nice to use - the MacBook keyboard is.

Clever Apple gets lots of sales from people with existing Mac keyboards wanting to upgrade.

Can't wait to see the mouse!!! Wonder if it will me multi-touch?:)

I'm confused as I'm here on an american macbook and it has the @ symbol on the 2 key? and my girlfriends american white apple keyboard that came with her imac has the @ symbol on her 2 key also?

rechargable keyboard?? Isnt that reaching the brink of lazyness? Just go buy rechargable batteries and keep a handy supply. People will complain that the keyboard battery will die too soon like an iphone... Apple cant please everyone.

that is an awesome keyboard!! i am getting sick of apple and all the white, good to see some metal.....i dont like how the usb ports are on the side but the rest of the design of the keyboard makes up for this....i do think apple should release a wireless one at the same time (biggest mistake they did with the mighty mouse).....i loved a previous posts idea saying a usb charged wireless keyboard...that is absolutely genius, you could use in non-wireless and wireless...love it.

i like the keys (always loved the macbook keyboard), but i'm not sure i'm a fan of the white on metal look. i'm always wondering about a wireless version. where could the batteries go?

Yeah me either - this keyboard would be AWESOME looking in all silver

Although I think they like white keys because a lot of people complain they can't see the black on silver well.
