Hey Map, do you know if it would be more plausible for a back skin installation with one of these new sliders since they are suppose to be bigger?

Hmm not sure but I was thinking the same thing. The new slider I bought tonight slipped on so simply that I thought maybe it would be loose. But once I slid the bottom on, perfect tight fit and no creaks like previous metallic sliders.

So my point is thinking maybe they might work since it slid on so loosely and smooth.

This new slider is bad@ss. The feel of it is amazing. Hopefully others can grab one and agree with me.

The s Stand is a nice sweet touch too :D

Can anyone post a picture of the new packaging? I want to make sure I am getting the proper one.

nothing. I tried one on my girlfriends phone today at apple store. It's the same case, same fit in a different box

I guess I didn't see that. Any pictures of the "S" stand?

Here you go. I picked this up tonight. All they had was white and orange. You also get an INCASE sticker in this package (I don't know if you did with the 3G case).

I had a black incase slider for my original 2G iPhone and it scratched up the back....the white slider in my post above for the 3Gs is noticeably larger and I don't think it will scratch my 3Gs but it's to early to tell. I never had the 3G slider so i can't compare that.

Yeah the orange one I bought slips on so easily. Real haapy with this slider. The matte finish feels soooo much better than my charcoal slider. Seems like they changed the finish too

The only thing that is keeping me from pulling the trigger on one of these bad boys is waiting to see if its compatible with a full body invisible shield or guard. I know previous sliders were too tight but evidence is beginning to show that this one might have the ability to accommodate one. Arghhh... I might just have to be test it myself, lol.

I seriously doubt they will fit. But keep us posted if they do.

I had a black and gun metal slider for my 3G, both of those cases were loose (only when pulling it off) on my phone and my 3G was never scratched. This was 6 months ago. There is another guy in this forum who got a brand new one and it is tight on his phone. Who knows.

Does this new case allows to dock iPhone without taking off the bottom casing. It is a actually quite annoying on the existing one.

As I've noticed with these cases the fit is never consistent even with the same color. That is part of the reason why I just gave up on it.

 You get a free iPhone 3G with it too?I'm getting one now!!! haha I love incase's design, that S stand is perfect, the new box design is cool too. I don't have an apple store but I hope Best Buy gets em

I really have no clue what some of you are talking about related to incase slider scratching your i.... I have had one for 2 weeks now and not a scratch on it from the case. When I pull it out to blow of the dust the silicone sliders inside leave a mark but that just rubs off.

That's what they are talking about :D haha they don't know it just rubs off, but they do leave light scratches after awhile from taking it in and out.

You poke around this forum and there are people with the "brand new" slider and some fit loose, and some fit tight. It's quality control with a piece of plastic, just a difference in the way the mold comes out I think.

The finish however is actually pretty nice, it's like your hand almost glides over the new paint. Very marshmellow-y, but I'm not sure if it's better or worse for grip though.
