Do they really need a new OS for every new product? Seems a very inefficient way of doing things.

A few years back it was all about if iOS and macOS were going to be merged. Now they just create a new OS each year. Seems like we should go back to one "Apple OS".

They only planned to make 250-500k units per year, and that’s about all the lines could handle given the complexity involved. This narrative that it was going to be the next iPhone came from lying analysts (but I repeat myself) and hucksters.
They could have the ability to make a billion of them per year and they still wouldn't make more, because no one buys it. I've literally never even heard of a single person that has mentioned it, let alone been interested in getting it.

I think they should cancel iOS19 and just finish delivering all the promised features of iOS18..

I don't mind skipping a year we don't need a new iOS every year after all.

Mac users: “All we want out of next OS releases is performance and stability improvements”

iPad users: “All we want is better multitasking.”

iPhone users: “Everything’s good, all we want is for you to not break anything. And better Siri.”

Vision Pro users: *crickets*

Apple: “Here’s some more AI slop, we know you hogs love that sh*t, line up at the trough you little piggies”
Vision Pro users want to be able to unlock their iPhones with AVP on or use FaceID with AVP on. And mirror iPad--that would be a nice touch. And definitely strong-arm Microsoft to support Intune management so I don't have to carry around a Mac just so I can sign in to my corporate environment. Just AVP and Logitech Keys To Go... For new hardware I would like better external cameras so the environment is less grainy.

They've gotta get off the numbered release cycle for iOS so they can just focus on completing features in the time they need.

The forced annual thing is killing them
