They don't import/export hardware, don't take direct payments, and no longer have any employees. In 2023 and 2024, they reported zero revenue.

It's important to note Apple has shipped 12GB since M4 iPad Pro. The base model had 6GB x 2 according to teardowns. Seems Apple software unlocked it with M5.

I added all the speed improvements.
New M5 should be 100% faster than M1.
m2 25% faster than the m1,m3 25% faster than m2,m4 25% faster than m3, SO M5 100% faster than M1!
NEW M5 100% Faster..
Indeed. It's been 5 years, so it makes sense for the M5 to be 100% faster than the M1, which is double the speed.

And anyone can be anything on the internet and make predictions ahead of new releases.
Everyone has the Crystal Ball!
Yes, but not everyone can use their crystal ball to conjure a working, unreleased device out of thin air.

Can someone explain this: when iPhone Pro (Max) users swear by the idea that the iPhone Pro needs a big battery and lots of power, and that thickness isn’t a problem but rather an acceptable compromise to get maximum performance. Then why do iPad Pro users fully accept the iPad Pro being so thin? Wouldn’t the same logic apply there too? Just make the whole device thicker for more impressive specs? It’s strange that the iPad Air is thicker than the iPad Pro.
Weight.

The iPad has always been primarily a hand-held device. And it's size allows for us to have our cake and eat it too: great performance, great weight / less volume.

An iPhone has a LOT less real estate, so every little bit of space/volume is balanced against performance with acceptable tradeoffs as a result.

You're trying to compare a motorcycle to a car; they're fundamentally different devices.

It’s a bit suspicious that it happens a second time in a row and both times with products which are just a chip upgrade from the previous gen. And these videos don’t get taken down. Something is off…
How’d he get to do review EVEN if that iPad Pro wasn’t announced? If it’s been preorder and release day for reviewers and the iPad or Apple product has been announced I understand that

But since that didn’t even happen how did he get ahold of it?

He probably knows the people that stole it from the factory.

Highly likely bro… traced it to some of those people especially like with his MacBook Pro M4 he had pre-announcement last year, that the initial leaker of that Mac also sold these pre-release models on facebook marketplace.

I understand your point of view. But couldn’t the iPad Pro have stayed just as thick as the M2 model, since no one was really complaining about it being too thick? That way it could have been a bit more powerful, too. And they could have made the Air the thinnest version, even at the cost of some performance. Right now it feels strange that the Air is actually thicker than the Pro.

The problem lies in Apple using the "Air" as a designation for their mid-tier devices in the iPad space.

They made it even more confusing now with the release of the iPhone Air, which is appropriately named IMO since it keeps with the original use: a super-thin device prioritizing weight and volume reduction over performance (original MBA vs original MBP, for example).

The thing is, Pro line has always been at the pinnacle of performance, and weight and volume (thickness) are elements of performance in a handheld device.

All that said, no one really knows why the hell Apple does what they do with these naming conventions.

The problem is not thickness, it's weight.
Do you know that there is roughly the same weight difference between the M4 13 and the M2 12.9 as between the M4 13 and the M2 11? That should tell you how big the difference in weight is. With the M4 13 Apple went half way between 12.9 and 11, which is huge. And how did they manage that?
By moving from mini-led to oled and by slightly decreasing the battery size while more than making up for it with the more efficient M4.
Mini-led allowed them to give the better screen to the bigger and more expensive iPad pro and charge $100 more for the priviledge (in addition to the $200 price difference that was already there). But it made it 50 gr heavier.
Oled allowed to improve even more on the screen while making it 100gr lighter, which is only around 100gr more than the previous 11". Oled made the 11 M4 slightly lighter but weight is less of an issue for handheld use at that size.
And now that the screen are the same, there is no more reason to have a $100 premium for the screen, right? No, Apple didn't want to leave any money on the table, and I guess the lighter weight helped customers swallow the price increase.

Awfully quiet …

Are we SURE we’re getting a new Pro this year?
It’s likely that the identifiers and model numbers have already been leaked to the FCC.

Also, be warned that the first video by Wyslacom, the individual who leaked the space black iPad Pro M5, contains a lot of negative comments and profanity. I watched the other videos he posted about wearing AirPods Pro 3 and explaining why he doesn’t wear an Apple Watch, but he preorders them and criticizes them frequently.

If you’re looking for a more in-depth video and a more genuine tech review, the silver iPad Pro review from another YouTuber Romancev768 who wears the Apple Watch Ultra, he also discusses its performance in gaming and is more focused. You can find the other video in an earlier post (#268) in this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...eaked-in-unboxing-video.2468007/post-34192999

Ive been saying this a long time. Apple is saving on every penny it possible able to. This time engraving their products is removed due to cost restrictions from the finance department.

But they still allow custom engraving…
