So I'm on a 2019 Ipad pro I believe. Is this new model going to be significantly brighter? I don't know if it's oled or where that generation sits within whatever was published here. I believe it's 600 nits.
The iPad Pro 12.9" 2021 with M1 was the first to get a miniLED display that could put out 1600 nits, then the M2 12.9" as well. Everything else are still on IPS with regular LED backlight that like you said is 500-600 nits (SDR).

Apple is not going to release an OLED update to the 12.9" without making sure the brightness is at least on par with the miniLED that it replaces. So yes whatever spec the OLED panel will be, it is going to be much brighter than your 2019.
