"iPhone 7 Ad Emphasizes Dual Cameras, Stereo Sound, and Water Resistance"

...and September 16. And a Jet Black Plus.

So it's basically a lie.

I like it, its more like an old (ish) luxury car ad where it's totally abstract.. Probably works better for Apple too, as most of the old car ads I had no idea which car any of them were actually about. :D Alternatively, its like the old surreal Playstation ads which I loved.. (some of which were directed by David Lynch)

The sound seems geared up for showing this ad in cinemas too..

I woke up several hours to early and came on here to kill some time before falling back asleep. Thanks to that short horror film, I don't think that will be anytime soon.

I can't help but feel your marketing campaign might be a bit off when the only people who will get the imagery are those who already know about the product's features.

"Water splashing on the phone? Maybe it's waterproof! Or this is something like that ad where the iPhone is poured into existence from monten metal—just an odd way to show the product off."

The iPhone 6S ad was the worst ever, basically a pre-emptive apology.

This is the polar opposite: stark, masculine, shows Apple has nothing to be afraid, or ashamed, of. So much more captivating.

Does the commercial emphasize Apple's ineptitude for making a waterproof phone with a headphone jack?

Should we pollute every topic with this? And do you believe waterproofing was the reason behind the 3.5" jack removal? Seriously?

I think they are trying really hard not to show the design of the phone, especially the front - because it looks the same as 6

They would have been better off highlighting the lines of the jet black with awesome music.. similar to the apple watch launch video.. Beauty speaks for itself.

I think the taptic engine will be a bigger deal than stereo sound and water resistance. It'll add a new dimension to the smartphone UX that we haven't experienced before once more devs take advantage of it. I see it being akin to playing games on a playstation with the original controller then upgrading to a dualshock.

If that home button was a gampad button controller.

While I hate all the "DARK MODE DARK MODE DARK MODE" posts, all of these promo shots and the focus on black really does seem like a missed opportunity lol.

It gets people talking, that's the goal of advertising a new product and its features.

People wonder, why compare a phone to an owl? They see the two cameras taking picture. An owl has great vision, especially night vision. Message done in 3-4 seconds.

I love it. It's like a piece of art, the creativity Apple has always stood for. In the age of the Internet, who really needs a 30 second spec sheet with a corny voiceover?

The advertisement is unique on its own. But those are the top three features for the Plus variant, with the IP67X resistance, Stereo sound and the dual camera. To me, thats compelling enough to upgrade.
Not a essential upgrade, for them who just want the latest iPhone

I have updated every 2 years. The moment I bought the iPhone 6, I knew that I would get the iPhone 7. I am due for an upgrade, but I'll sit this one out. This is courageous.

Apocalyptic.

This would make a great ad for an exploding phone.

Wrong brand.

Perhaps. Happy?

It feels like it was directed by Steven Klein

Similar to Lady Gaga's Fame perfume commercial, directed by Steven Klein.
