No Pro iPhone! Keep it as the Plus. I love the Pro updates except for the Mac and MacBook Pro.

I'm looking forward to seeing how all these alleged changes like dual cameras and smart connector improve experience when combined with software.

Is it only me, or it looks awful?

Eh I don't think it looks awful. It's a schematic so it doesn't show the shiny polished product that catches our eyes. It does, however, look uninspired. It's the same phone we've already been looking at for the past two years. I totally understand it will have upgraded internals, but a lot of us would really appreciate new aesthetics, especially if they were practical too (getting rid of the bezels to make the overall phone size smaller while keeping a large screen).

I am also hoping they'd release a 5.1" since I find the 4.7" too small and the 5.5" too big, but I know they can't satisfy everyone's particular screen size desires. If they made an edge to edge screen I'd be totally happy with the 5.5" though.

As the article states, it would be very disappointing to see further differentiation between the two model sizes. It appears that Apple thinks they need to add more features to the Plus model to make it "worth it" to spend the extra money. In reality, most people probably just don't want a bohemoth of a phone. I'd buy the 4.7" model even if they were the same price.

ok, let's keep making the 4.7" worse and the 5.5" a beast... this is seriously ridiculous, i can't believe apple does this to the two new flagships, it's a matter of human capacities, people with smaller hands need a more practical phone but not because of that we don't need higher specs ¬¬.

If this is real for a 3rd time i will buy the s7

Feeling even better about my SE purchase.

I would be all over that if the screen wasn't so small.

The SE is upgraded internals into an old form factor at a super cheap price. I'll be pretty content with this upcoming iPhone that looks just like the iPhone 6 if it only costs $399, but they're a bunch of nozzles if they make their new flagship device in the same body as the iPhone 6 and still charge us ~$800.

If that is the case, I'm done with Apple. Why not just give both the phones the same features while the later only has the advantage of a bigger screen and battery?
Not gonna happen. Look at the 9.7" iPad Pro, already a superior device than its same-gen brother.

Apple can forced you to go with 7 plus if you are a person that usually listen to wired headphones while your phone is charging

iPhone Pro for additional 100 bucks starting at 32 GB despite the fact that the 64GB one used to be at this price point. its a PRO THO! a unnecessary HUGE pro that is

That's a trademark feature of the iPhone, which encompasses huge intangible capital. It will be unwise to remove it.

if Instagram can get rid of its iconic icon Apple can get rid of the homebutton!

I'm not buying one of either as my iPhone 6 still works fine and this looks to be a "meh" update. It doesn't look to be an elegant presentation or with ample feature improvements.
Regardless, the differentiation between the 4.7 and 5.5" devices continues to tick me off. I only get certain features if I accept a larger footprint than I desire. Horse hockey!!

I hope they're not going down the Pro path of one phone has more features than the other. Split screen and video stability was fine on just the plus. But if they're blatenly going to make one phone better that another then that's just silly. Not everyone wants a bigger screen

This is just pipeline garbage. Designed two years ago.

Best case scenario where Apple wakes (the F) up and starts thinking about realy good and groundbreaking products right now. Bad news is that we have to wait another two years before it comes out the pipeline.

Ain't going to happen unless Steve Jobs rises from the dead. Cook is repeating all the mistakes that Apple made in the 90s and undoing all the changes that Jobs made.

Don't think I've ever wanted a rumour to be more wrong. If all the rumours about the 7 are true I'll be disappointed. And I can't believe I'm saying this (I'm Apple mad) but if it is just a relatively minor refresh that'll be the first time I've ever not bought 2 iPhones at release. I skipped the 6s, first time I've not upgrade because, well, it just did nothing for me.

If the 7 is basically a 6sS, then Apple really is getting stale. I know there's a limit to what can be done with current tech but Christ this is Apple, do something to wow me. Y'know like you used to.

iPhone is back with protrusions and warts aplenty!
Oh dear me, Apple... What's broken at HQ?
Not even bothering to get the design clean anymore.

I think that unless the dual camera is absolutely amazing, then everyone is best to just wait to see if Apple can make a modern large iPhone with next years do-over.
And even if the dual camera is amazing, I still think people should just wait to see if Apple can make a modern large iPhone as good as the Note 5 next year.
I'm way past due with two upgrades on my Verizon plan, but I'm waiting it out. There is nothing my 5s cannot do, and do well that the 6 series can.

..well except for having a larger screen. But even then, I want a larger phone done right, not just a lazily blown up iPhone 5 with huge bezels and honking forehead and chin.

Just wait it out people...
