They is some dent surrounding the camera lens, it is so obvious the owner hit with something and break the lens.

Don't blame as this is careless behavior that impact your lens break.

A few things:

1) Its not water proof. Apple never claimed it was water proof. It is merely splash resistant. A couple of drops of water shouldn't harm it, submerging it on the other hand is a recipe for disaster.

2) The camera lens is sapphire. Sapphire is scratch resistant, but is more prone to shattering. As glass gets "harder" it becomes more brittle. The fact that you shattered your camera lens so easily proves that its sapphire.

3) The headphones are made form the same material that the last 4+ iPhone's headphones material. I have headphones from the iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6s and 7. They are feel the same.

That is incorrect. The phone is rated IP67 which means it can be "submerged in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes". While you shouldn't take it swimming, it is certainly more than capable of handling more than some splashes.

Also, the lens is not sapphire. This has been debunked by numerous online sources using a graded scratching tool on the lens.

Wrong. The lens still is sapphire. However, it looks like Apple decided to use a thin sapphire coating over glass rather than a full sapphire lens this time. Because the coating is so thin and sapphire is so brittle, the sapphire portion is more prone to breaking when dropped or subjected to concentrated presseure. That is what is happening in those scratch test videos. The tool is actually breaking the sapphire layer rather than scratching it. Certainly not ideal and a pretty clear effort on Apple's part to cut costs. But the resistance of the camera lens to everyday screatches (e.g. particles when putting the phone on a table or in your pocket) should be just as good as on past models. Yes, it will break more easily if you deliberately try to scratch it. But then, why would you be doing that?

Just because it is rated to do something, does not mean it will withstand it. Apple will NOT backup their claim. It is not waterproof at all and even Apple is calling it only splash resistance. You get zero warranty for water damage, therefore, they are not standing behind their claim and no one should test it. There are dozens of threads around here of people walking in the rain and their phone breaking.

Additionally, Apple's website states that standard wear and tear will diminish the IP67 rating. Therefore, no, it is not really capable of withstanding 30 minutes in 1 meter. When the IP67 rating was given, it was done with optimal testing conditions, not real life conditions.

"iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are splash, water, and dust resistant and were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty."

100% incorrect. The lens has been tested and it is without a doubt sapphire. Its just a very thin layer of sapphire. But regardless, sapphire is sapphire. All sapphire is brittle, which means it is prone to cracking. Make it thinner and it will be even more prone to cracking. The reason why all the videos around the internet claim that it is not sapphire and scratches is because there is an anti-reflective coating over the camera to reduce glare of the quad-flash.

Please do research before you claim someone else is incorrect.

thank you for showing off your knowledge.
[doublepost=1479497121][/doublepost]It's funny how you are all defending Apple assuming that I play soccer using the iPhone, you can see from the pictures that there are no scratches.
It's not so much many here are, "defending Apple" as it is we're simply pointing out your error(s) and perhaps slightly mocking you.

I thought it had to be that way because the sapphire would distort the image.

FYI my iPhone was not fixed, I mean not without me paying £260, there are stories of people with the same issue and they had their phone fixed for free, never been lucky. As the phone is mine and it's me who wasted the money, I do believe I have the right to say that iPhone7 is RUBBISH.

You have no right to say the phone is rubbish if you are the one who mistreated it. You dented/broke your phone. You are not entitled to a free replacement. Next time buy AC+, would have only cost you $99.

Highly inaccurate and you're incorrect. Phil Schiller (Vice President of Marketing) was quoted stating the lens over and home button is in fact made of sapphire. Research it. Macrumors also reported this.

You can complain all you want. You're the one who messed up your phone. I can say stories about how i read on the internet aliens came to my house and now home owners insurance won't cover the damage. "But I read it on the internet! It MUST BE TRUE"

They have no obligation to repair for free something that you accidentally broke.
If others got lucky it doesn't mean everyone else will.
If you feel the phone is rubbish then sell it and get something else.

Have to agree. Battery life of 7 Plus is worse than my 2-year-old 6 Plus.

Not worth the money.

The battery life shouldn't be worse than your iPhone 6 on your 7 Plus. The 7 Plus easily should manage an additional three hours of battery life over the 6 Plus. So, it's not worth the money just because your 7 Plus has worse battery life than your 6 Plus?

The iphone 7 is built with poor quality but its quality we are known to accept.

Almost every iPhone has been made poor for many years. Most mass produced items in China are.

I agree there are items that are poorly manufactured in China. But Apple has fairly stringent quality standards. The iPhone is a premium piece of hardware. When you produce millions of devices, it's inevitable there will be defective units. But the success rate is much higher than that of a failure.

iPhones hold value for one of the reasons being they are made Well and last. I don't agree that iPhones are made with poor quality. The aluminum, Saphirre and Ion-X
Glass are durable when you factor real world daily use applications.

sorry but my iPhone 5 with chipping disagrees. 5S with loose home button after button disagree. iPhone 6 with the camera moving disagree. 6+ with touch disease. 6S with battery shutting at 20%.

now my 7+ with it cracking and popping when using 3D touch.

QA at apple is awful. I agree they use good parts, but the quality is awful now.
