Do you know the specs and features already then?
I don' t....
So why judge, just by its looks?
An embedded touchid in screen is pretty high tech, an high res oled, is what we want and it is almost all screen on the front, even more than the s8, so... and we don' t even know anything about the rest of the specs and the features, except for a high tech front camera, some ar features and wireless charging.

I don' t understand these comments at all...
[doublepost=1494422726][/doublepost]

It will have less bezel than the s8, it just doesn' t have a real curved screen, that is practically useless, so....

Well, you don't understand the comments because you aren't following the post that I was responding too. That post asked if he was the only one who thought the phone was really beautiful design. I responded saying it basically looks like what we already haven

No one mentions specs or features.

For the love of all things evil and holy please dear lord don't keep the power button opposite the volume button. Steve would have had the people that approved that taken out to the parking lot and summarily executed.

Maybe, I'm out of touch with current gadget design trends. This just looks like a slightly rounded, black slab of glass...blah. Is this considered front running design today? Without the classic home button this looks even more blah.

I'm sure it will be impeccably engineered and assembled, with splendid performance in whatever form factor, but, oh well.

Something about Tim Cook's comments on 7 sales slowing suggests to me these renderings are more smoke and mirrors. Apple has more to win by leaking renderings that look similar to the iPhone 7

Looking forward to the stainless steel frame adding some heft so that hopefully it doesn't have the same overall impression as the 6, 6s, 7. Screen should be sweet too, I'm all for wide and less tall (18:9 design is already getting lots of complaints) as long as the device doesn't get wider.
How in hell can you be looking forward to something that hasn't been announced?

OK, all good points, but all phones going forward are going to be rectangular slabs of glass...

No, Just read your post again.

It was something like: mweh...
it basically looks like the 7+ to me. not much difference visually. obviously the larger screen will be nice but over all not that radical for the flagship iphone 8 they've been hyping up

"slightly protruding dual-lens camera" - that's not "slightly" protruding. If Apple requires more thickness for the camera optics than the nominal thickness of the entire handset then they should make the entire unit thicker. Then they could have a larger battery as a bonus. Personally, I find the current generation of iPhones somewhat difficult to hold without a case due to the thickness. A camera 'bump' like that would be hideous, regardless of what specs the camera has.

so i wonder if an apple VR set will be announced during keynote? seems likely from the sounds with how the camera is

We've waited years for a bezelless iPhone and it will be worth the wait to see an embedded Touch ID home button

Apple putting the home button on the rear will turn a super cycle upgrade into a disaster as many people will wait knowing that Apple is close to being able to embed the home button

When I'm out I often notice that people have iPhones 3 or 4 or 5 years old (easy to tell by screen size and thickness. )
So the proof is there that people are waiting for the next great Thing and will wait as long as need be. Nobody is throwing $900 into something that's same old same old. But in a new box
Hopefully Apple is reading these threads all over the place

Wow they really can't do anything to not make it look like a 6/6S/7?
What exactly is the problem with having the phone look like a previous model? Is it that you really want a round phone? Or a triangular one? Or are you afraid that maybe people won't know that you have the newest one? (I never understood that line of thinking, espoused by some - I'd rather people like/dislike me for my actions/outlook/wisdom, not for what phone I choose to carry.) If the design had huge drawbacks, I could understand, but prevailing opinion seems to be converging on the glass-front rounded rectangle as the ideal smartphone layout.

I really think it looks only average. Maybe I've just become jaded. Especially when you have phones like the LG G6 or the Galaxy S8 that have nearly eliminated the bezel already.

A phone's a phone these days. I'm interested to see what, if any, forward thinking ideas come to iOS 11.

Absolutely the iPhone 5s is a far better design (and more robust) was hoping for the iPhone SE to be a turning point in the thinness madness but it was not to be.

Of course nothing holds a candle to the excellent iPhone 4s
No I didn't say this I love the 6 design way better than any iPhone

Like other forum users have stated, this is not the design everyone has leaks of.
This is just an edited iPhone 6/7 with the features the CAD drawings have shown, but the stainless steel part is wrong, because it's not rounded. It's flat.
I'm more intrigued by the recent iPhone SE back panel leaks. They seem far more interesting due to its streamlined design than the iPhone 8... if they are real.

About the camera bump: I can't help but keep wondering why they either don't have two bumps, one on each side, in order to at least keep the IPhone stable when resting flat on a desk.
Put a camera in each one, or the flash in one and the cameras in the other. Or if the flash must be close to the lens, make the second bump just a metal bump. Or make this long unique bump horizontal and centered at the top. Alternatively, the top of the iPhone could be thicker than the bottom (seen from the side, the phone would not look like a rectangle but a trapeze) and the bump would be eliminated while keeping most of the phone mostly as slim as now.
Just my 2 cents…

My thoughts exactly. I'm more than happy with it but it won't knock anyone's socks off. Having said that this is just a render, I'm sure the real thing will look much better.

@Sunny1990. I have to agree with Defender. Apple Isn't coercing you to purchase the iPhone. You have options.
Let me clear your doubt. You can go through this article and see how many forum members are annoyed from this fugly vertical bump,"kill that Nasty WART with fire " For example :- See post on :- #114 on this article. You agree or disagree it's up to you i don't care.there are still so many forum members here who think/agree this ugly vertical bump should be removed immediately.Apple should make it flush with the back.

Another Example :- See post no :- #147 below

Your statement :- You have options

I don't think i have much options left,i don't like android or any other platform and i don't want to leave iOS.i love my iPhones so much :D and i am not going anywhere,So What options i have left after that you think ? i really want to know? :(

First, when I reply to your post, you repeatedly keep editing your messages after the fact, which makes it difficult for discussion and so your aware, it shows the time when you edited your message as well.

Second, why are you telling me "Let me clear your doubt." I don't have any doubt. It was brought to your attention that you repeatedly keep making the same comment about removing a Camera bump. And I don't need to read through 114 messages to reply to one post with my opinion.

Third, you stated "I can agree or disagree, but I don't care." If you don't care then, why are you asking me questions and replying to my post? Don't you think that's contradictory for the sake of discussion?

Fourth, you stated "This ugly vertical camera bump should be removed immediately." So you're telling me you're in a position to make demands to Apple-based on you know what's best for the consumer? Unless you're an engineer that works directly for Apple in the design for an iPhone, I don't think you're in a position to be making demands. Am I right?

Fifth, you stated "I don't like Android or any other platform and I don't want to leave iOS." My suggestion to you would be STOP complaining, realize that we can't have everything we want, and making superficial demands to a 43 Billion dollar company will NOT result in what you want. Apple is a company out to make money, they're not out to meet every expectation/demand and or a appease to every opinion about how the iPhone should be.

Otherwise, I think you should go to Android. It seems like it would suit you better.

In any case, this next iPhone will be back with "Full energy. "Am I right?

You keep quoting my posts that's why at the end i have to reply to you, i hate that bump and what's wrong with that, I just write my aggression twords that Nasty bump, if you don't like my posts i think there is the option ignore Them

OK i got your word i think i have to deal with that Nasty bump, i have no option left, android is not my place, thanks for advice :D
