I was just eating scrambled egg for breakfast at the Ritz in DC, when I read your comment and bust into laughter, trying to conceal the comedic outburst led me to begin choking,
The hosts had just been talking about the nuances of English dinning etiquettes.

I don't see much of a difference, which IMO is a good thing. iPhone 7 jet black is pretty close to perfection.
 
Why Camera bump? Why? :(

Seriously, get rid of it, its been there for 3 generations and people are at best apathetic to it, and at worst hate it.

I honestly thought they would have done away with the lightning port since it will likely have wireless charging.

It is one of the reasons why I've been using cases after iPhone 5. I don't like the back and the camera is protruding, so I solve both issues and the phone is more protected too.

Same here, the camera sticking out just makes me cringe, Apple's own case solved that issue nicely.

Fingers crossed this time it will actually be flushed and I can go back to not using a case.
 
Not sure how I feel about the rounded screen corners, they look very odd on the S8.

Do you know the specs and features already then?
I don' t....
So why judge, just by its looks?
An embedded touchid in screen is pretty high tech, an high res oled, is what we want and it is almost all screen on the front, even more than the s8, so... and we don' t even know anything about the rest of the specs and the features, except for a high tech front camera, some ar features and wireless charging.

I don' t understand these comments at all...

It will have less bezel than the s8, it just doesn' t have a real curved screen, that is practically useless, so....

It's time to fire Jonny Ives if the iPhone design still looks like an iPhone 6.
 
The small bump on the back of my 6+ doesn't bother me at all. The larger bump with the dual camera on the 7+ is distracting but acceptable. It just isn't that bad since the back is matte and a fairly light color on most models.

Unfortunately, the bump on this render completely destroys the aesthetics. It is an otherwise beautiful monolith of black glass and mirrored stainless steel. It would go down as a classic design right along with the iPhone 4. However, the bump goes from being distracting on an aluminum back to being the entire focus when looking at this render. It is like a turtle floating on a completely calm pond or a huge zit on the nose of Gisele Bundchen.

Ordinarily I'll put a full case on my phones, but with this one I would have probably gone with a simple bumper case to preserve the beauty. If this huge camera bump does make it into production I guess there will be no harm in sticking with a thicker, full case that covers the back and would provide protection against the fairly unlikely drop onto a protruding pebble with the back.
 
yawn. another render to attract attention. it's all wrong to have the flash below the same glass/protection that covers lenses. stray light/lair much? you don't see apple doing that
 
at the beginning (2-3 years ago), the rumors were nice. Now it's 2 to 3 rumors a week, non-stop all year. The rumors that breaks the pleasure and gives the impression that the technical feat of Apple, Samsung; Etc. are easy ... While it's still amazing they get us out every time!

I would rather the camera be a little thicker so the camera is flush than have it stick out. Much cleaner design. Having the camera bump makes it ugly and cheap.

Thank you! Granted, the screen on the S8 is gorgeous but a curved screen is a gimmick in order for Samsung to say it's the world's first phone with an Infinity Display. How gullible people are to fall for that cheap marketing.

what? it looks nothing like the 7 series.

If by looks the same you mean looks like a phone then sure..but no bezels, no home button and thinner body how on earth does that look the same as the 7?

Personally i have to say, that ik like the look of it though, but it is just not practical.
Apple will go this route in a few years, i think, but ten all the way down to the sides, with in-screen buttons and such, so it will have some real use.
 
Ok, it seems that this year I will pass the rumoured iPhone 8/8plus:

My reasons:
  1. I love to have a home button.
  2. The home button makes me sense to be in the front
  3. In 7/7 plus we already had a good update of home button.
  4. If the lens are to be like the rumours, then it will be ugly in my opinion.
