New iPhone= fail!

so it will look exactley same on outside, but inside will be different wow!!! honestly that wont be enough to get most people to fork over 300 for a faster phone!


only good thing is the video, which with a 3.0 mp camera will still suck! yay i dont feel bad having my 3g for longer! ill just upgrade when im able to!
 
AHHAHAHA!! Who was the guy the other day that created a thread about all the people who were going to cry when the hardware was nothing new?? :p
 
Yeah seriously. Biggest apple let down ever.

Normally when apple is expected to come out with a product, it's better than the fake pictures and rumors of the product make it out to be.

I was so excited for the new iPhone based off the rumors. Now im sticking with my Blackberry.
 
Faster, much better battery, compass, encryption, better camera, video, voice command (finally catching up with the rest of the world), etc.

It's a much nicer phone, and there's no need to wait months for accessories because the current ones will still fit. Nice.

What exactly is the let down here? That the rumours community was too accurate? It's actually been being pretty spot on for a while now. The only thing that seems to be missing is a front facing camera, which was always dubious.
 
dude calling it iphone 3gs. i know people who want the iphone will get it, but trust me someone who didn't get it before will not be tempted. Having video and a 1 megapixel up from 2 is not a big deal. fail.

Judging by the numbers the battery isn't THAT much better...

At least they staggered the launch of the 3.0 software and the 3GS

Is this supposed to be a good thing? The new Apple product will sell even though it's lame as hell? Isn't this reinforcing the Apple fan stereotype?
 
Most people will wait for their contracts to be up.

They're selling to ORIGINAL iPhone owners (and people without iPhones at all).

Anyone who thinks this won't be a huge hit with those 2 groups is blind or in denial.

I am considering getting the new phone. I wonder if they will be sold out like crazy though....considering I have no backup phones to get.

seems like most people wanted another revolutionary new UI and a brand new redesign of the hardware. Those insane lines waiting to get a new phone will probably come along when it's redesigned it seems

I have an original iPhone and didn't upgrade to the (minimally) upgraded 3G. I don't see anything to get me to buy this one either.

Uhm maybe at least a new back? That would've been insanely difficult to accomplish.
 
im not saying it won't sell! but im saying anyone who has been holding back on getting an iphone wont just make the jump now! because there is nothing enticing! i guarantee you the faster speed is not even noticable to the average person!

and the prices are the same so if you wanted one now you could have just gotten one before!

video isn't that big of a selling point! most people don't even use the damn video on their phones! and most phones have video!

im wondering if the phone supports faster 3g speeds! even the battery life for 3g talk is the same, so wth. battery life isn't even that better. It wasn't ment to be a big update so anyone who has a 3g shouldn't be that upset.
