When the new iphone comes out I will have to pay the full price for it. My contract with Att ends next year.. :(

I don't understand how a company with over $100B in sales and over $100B in cash can only release one phone a year when Samsung can put out three world class phones (Nexus, S3, Note 2) in less than a year.

It's part of apple's "minimalist" attitude. Focus on one general product, build an extreme hype for said product, release the product with one headline feature that builds upon previous versions, create a dependable cycle for the product, and sit back and watch the profits roll in.

Apple works at it's own pace, innovating when they want too, stifling innovation when they want to. Apple likes to play god.

Any time would be good for me, I'm sick of stupid java phones.

I would go out and get a 32gb or a 64gb if telus will let me.

I have a good plan with telus to be honest
i'm on there 45 plan and I get 10 number unlimted in canada
200 local minuits,
unlimted texting

if I go with the 50plan I get 100mb of data and if I go over its 5$ for ever 100mb after
If I go with the 65gb plan its 1gb of data and after that its 10$ per gig,

I would go with the 65plan when i get my iphone.

Its the iPhone 5. The fifth month is May. May spelled backwards is Yam. Yam's are traditionally eaten at Thanksgiving. "Thanksgiving" has 12 letters. There are 12 months in a year. 12 divided by 2(the # of iPhones with a glass back) is 6. 6+(iPhone)5= 11. The 11th month is OCTOBER. Not hard to figure out when u look at the obvious. Duh!

The 11th month is November.

Dont be so sad! It's also possible that they will release the new one end of the year:p

ATT: An upgrade is not available at this time. You can purchase equipment at no commitment price.
Full upgrade available: July 20, 2013 :( - - - - 1 year from today

No commitment price would be $549.99 for the 32GB iphone

The 11th month is November.

Geeze...does nobody get that the reference to The 11th month as October is part of the joke. Man...do I really have to explain it?? You guys who pointed out the "mistake" are most likely the same people posting that the new iPhone is coming in July or August.

This.

Samsung will supposedly top 10 million Galaxy SIII's before the end of July and it's been out since May 29th. It will have taken 2 months to do that from May 29 to the end of July.

Apple sold 4 million iPhone 4S' on the first weekend. A weekend is two days. If they sold 4 million evry weekend, it would take last than 6 days to sell 10 million. Heck, even if they don't sell that many in two days anymore, it probably still would take less than 2 months to sell 10 million.

10 million deliveried to stores. not selling.

10 million deliveried to stores. not selling.
So? Apple products usually have a very short shelf time. No one delivers products to a store they're not going to sell. If Apple delivered 10 million phones to the stores, they did so because there is a demand for it.

If ... a very big if, Apple were to release it in August it would most likely be riddled with bugs and annoyances.

Releasing the iPhone 4 in a rush due to the large number of "Droid" models released through Verizon, led to Antennagate.

Then Jobs ended up doing major damage control. He pulled it off quite nicely, convincing his disciples it never happened. Denial reigned supreme as they regurgitated the company line, denying that it ever happened.

The later the new phone is released, the better the chances are of it being properly sorted out. Late October or sometime in November will increase the chances of a good model being delivered.

Am I the only person who doesn't think the new iPhone will be released in 2012?

I believe it will be closer to Q1 2013.

And I'm probably one of the only people who doesn't care for it either. I'm more than happy with my iPhone 4 and considering I will still get iOS 6 I have no complaints.

I don't care for FaceTime or Siri, so I'm all good.

I don't know if I want to update to ios 6, I heard the battery life sucks as of right now.
