Ok. But in my experience people usually would say by the end of next week to be clear. Anyway, variety is the spice of life :)
Adding “the end of” in the middle just adds extra words that mean the same thing so aren’t really needed, which is very similar to your “change” example. 😉

But yes, both of those ways are correct and would include any time this week and next week, but not any time after.

All I need to know at this point, to consider upgrading my 2020 SE is who much is it going to cost. Apple really screwed the pooch when they priced the VisionPro at $3,499. It would have been better for sales if they'd dropped some features and sold it for $1,999. It's too late for this new SE, since it's already in production, but Apple should heed that advice going forward. SE buyers don't want to pay for features they don't need, and probably won't ever use.

To get to $1999 retail, the features Apple would have had to drop are the "Vision" portion of it: 4K per eye. Once they step down to this "cheaper" one people seek by basically matching up features to what is already out there, the new broad complaint will be "blurry." And then much cheaper options from others will make even more sense because the key differentiation that directly feeds into the name "Vision" will be no better than the $200-$500 options.

There isn't $1500 in the "eyes" screen on the front, speakers, etc. But dump the 4K per eye and they can probably get there.

Because “by next week” could mean this week OR next week. As long as it happens any time before the week after next, it is by next week.
By means before, which would mean it has to be this week. Unless they said "by the end of next week."

Thank you. I am not the only one who thinks that is the correct meaning. No matter what Mariam Webster dictionary may say, common usage in society has equal or greater weight.

“By” does not mean “before.” It means up to and including the stated point in time. Any dictionary is enough to prove that.

Love your confidence, though.

I’ve been keeping an eye on used resale values of iPhone 16. And waiting 2-4 months you see big discounts, 200-400 depending on site. So the SE4 on the refurbished Amazon market and other sites would be fabulous at 300-350 after 2-4 months from release. Talk about great value.

At this point, we are all Gurman as we can predict that iPhone 17 will be launched this September.

No sht Sherlock.

Well, potential clients can sample the UHD 4K version and the hypothetical HD version, and make their own decision based on price/value as it pertains to each of them individually. There's probably a lot more sales at $1,999 than at $3499. Especially given that more than half of the customers will need the lens inserts, making the buy-in of the current VP over $5,000 with sales tax. For a toy!

Whenever the new iPhone SE is finally announced, it is rumored to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, a USB-C port, a single 48-megapixel rear camera, and the first Apple-designed 5G modem.
I hope that camera is the exact same one as the main camera on the latest flagship. If so, it would make the iPhone SE 4 and the iPhone SE 1 the only two SE models released with the same camera as the main camera on the current flagship at the time of release.

I bet you €10 that the person who leaked this story was named Monsieur Marque de Ghuermán.

Rumour is $499. Seems that the SE 2022 launched at $429, so it's a $70 price increase which is probably reasonable for what you're getting extra.
