We are talking about an iPhone 16 with a basic camera and no Dynamic Island for half the price. It will be well worth it. The vast majority of people will be just fine with whatever camera they put in that thing. I’d like the Dynamic Island as I have a 13 so never used it, but I really don’t mind the notch at all. If this gets me AI, usb-C, and a revitalized battery, I’m happy to spend $500. Can’t justify $1k on a phone now that I don’t do payment plans or debt of any kind.

i won't be "buying" it as i use a work issued phone.

but i can be pretty sure that once this 13 dies; work will replace it with either the SE or whatever clearance 14 & 15's they may be able to source at the time.

Not expecting it this week now and not sure when it will be released. But should definitely be available for purchase by the end of March. Expecting base storage of at least 128GB with a price of around $449 to $499

I must say, i upgraded from iphone X to iphone 16 base model.. and my eyes are getting soo much stress, i see blurry after 15 mins of use... i think its about 60hz screen?

Im waiting on iphone 17 120hz to upgrade this 60hz phone.

I never had issues with iphone X tho.. i think its also 60hz... weird

Rumour is $499. Seems that the SE 2022 launched at $429, so it's a $70 price increase which is probably reasonable for what you're getting extra.

Well, I'll just have to decide if those "extras" are worth an extra $70 to ME.

I think this makes sense. I expect it to have a base storage of 128GB too which means it would only be an increase of $20 as the 128Gb SE 2022 is $479.

I wonder if it would be possible to make an iPhone with a built-in Mac. Just plug in the external peripherals. Nah...Apple couldn't do it.
