Edit: Besides, who made you judge of what other people's needs for equipment should be? Just because you don't understand the need for extra capacity doesn't mean that there isn't a market for it. My music archive is certainly older than 5 years...![]()
I understand what you're saying, but in the other guys defense, if you look at the market as a whole, the reasons he gave for thinking the 80GB iPod is unnecessary is quite true.
So on the flip-side of things, I'm sure even you realize that what applies to you and several people on this board doesn't apply to the overwhelming majority who only have a total HD space of 40-60 GB to store their OS, all their apps, photos, and music in their laptops/desktops.
