iPod touch New ipod touch expected tomorrow

The iPod touch 6 has bad battery life so that's probably why. They would have to give it at least A10 just for better efficiency. In fact, that could be why it got A8 instead of A7.

I'm hoping the 5s/A7 gets an extra version of iOS just like the 3GS and 4s did. Then even if they drop the iPod with the A7 devices it'll at least get iOS 12.

Oh, yeah that is probably why. The iPT6 has the worst battery life on a current iOS device right now.
I don't feel like A7 will get an extra year though because of its GPU which on the Mini 2 and Air especially is having a hard time keeping up with the new animations. Even if the 5s runs better because of its smaller screen I feel like it would still have to be dropped b/c of the iPads.

Too confusing, are we then just changing the name for the sake of it? What curse does the iPod name give onto us where we have to change of the name?

They did skip from iPhone 7 to 8 (instead of 7s), and introduced the IphX as "iphone 10", even though they could've just easily called it "Iphone ten/10"

This is interesting. I'm actually shocked if Apple does announce a new iPod touch, mainly because the iPhone has become so dominant. But curious to know what Changes made if this is accurate.

Believe it or not businesses use these things as mobile Point of Sale, as pagers, as remote controls, etc. There’s still a valuable business market for this thing that doesn’t warrant having a whole iPhone. Lowe’s etc went full iphones and don’t even use the phone. Then again the new Lowe’s phones are iPhone SEs as they’re cheap enough and way cheaper than $1,000 Motorola devices.
