maybe its gonna be a phone and theyre gonna sell minutes, on like an iPhone minutes store, piggybacking off someone like cingular or t-mobiles, similar to what virgin do.

thats if that guys says its big but not an ipod is telling the truth

Maybe the red curtain was used just to whip us Macnerds into a VideoPod frenzy... that said, I doubt swissboy's friend has any clue what's going on, and he has even less of one for buying into it.

****... I'd argue that a 3GHz chip deserves a red curtain... the release alone would be theatrical enough.

EDIT: I'm rather certain that anytime any one plays this game:

"I'll give you a hint:

Something really vague.

Go wild."

It's ********. He's here to spread nonsense.

HAHAHAHA....too bad this news doesn't please you. Well sorry but I could care less about what I said before. Enjoy Wednesday and think of me when you do.

I'll think of you wednesday when I'm breaking out the credit-card for a video-enabled iPod, and if you give me your number I can give you a call on your new Nokia.... oh wait, didn't they just release the ROKR (aka: sucker)?
And if you were implying a phone of their own, why would Apple present it so soon after the ROKR? Would make sense for them to sit and wait until January or so and make it right.

If there's no video iPod, I'll feel sorry for all the people really looking forward to one. If there's no updated pro machines, I'll feel sorry for those people. Do you think getting both iPods w/video AND updated PowerMacs/Books is too much to ask?

Unfortunately yes. As cool as video iPods may be, I honestly don't see how they would positively implement the form factor...it would have to be positively HUGE - or it would be unviewable. Who wants to watch video on a sub-7 inch screen? Steve Jobs. Who wants to carry around a literal brick with an 8 inch screen for watching video? These conflicts are what detract me from thinking there will be a vPod. If they surprise us w/something ergonomic we haven't thought of, sweet. I, however, would MUCH rather see new PBs. I've been waiting so long Apple...please...
