You are not passing the info you are exagerating the info...Comex himself didn't said it as a fact..he said "Apple LOOK like..." and "probably patch" That is very different from "Will patch"... We all been saying to saved 4.1 SHSHs for weeks, I never said anything about the advice being wrong I said it was big "sensationalist" the way you are putting it

It's not annoying, they always happen. It's the cat and mouse game. It's up to you to make it or not annoying. Simple, don't upgrade.
besides the fact that the update main propose is to fix a bug affecting user in Australia and New Zealand and not the jailbreak (which it may be included or it may not as secondary)
How can you be sensationalist when the first thing you say is "according to twitter" yes there have been multiple people on twitter saying it will be patched. I just posted the info here for all of the noob jbers who don't even seem to understand what an shsh is. I never said it WILL happen. I said ACCORDING TO TWITTER IT WILL BE PATCHED.
The post i called sensationalist was #3 not the OP, you don't seen to read, just want to reply away and create an argument, You went ahead and said, that 4.1.1 was going to be the "same" as 4.1 with the comex fix ...which was not based on Twitter but on your own speculations. We know for a fact that the day light saving will be fix, and "maybe" comex exploit, and "maybe" other bugs as well.
The bug is in every iPhone, it's under the right conditions that it becomes known. In any case, if you are not affected by it, don't update. If you are, try to find temporary fix until 4.2.0 hits. Sure it is a hassle, but thats the price you pay when you try to be jailbroken. Also, I have been on 4.0.1 for a while and don't play to upgrade until 4.2.0 comes out.
Yeah, we will get affected by it when day light saving hits in Oct. That is why they are "speculating" that the update should be soon, only a few countries are affected right now, but this week and next weeks more countries are going into the day light saving schedules and they are expected to be affecte
Post 3 was in response to post 2 when he asked if it will be fixed in 4.2 I was just saying it will probably be before that in 4.1.1 or 4.1.2. It's not like I only posted post 3 it was in response to all the posts before it. Imagine that. And I'm not starting a fight you tried to tell me I'm posting sensationalist things all I did was ask you how it's sensationalist. Yeah I guess it's possible that it won't be patched in 2 days or many even 2 weeks but this exploit won't be around for ever that's the bottom line. Don't try to tell me what I did and did not post and then accuse me of starting an argument.

That's silly. Why would they leave known security holes in their product unpatched?

I guess we can just agree to disagree. I'm just posting what was in my twitter feed for all of these people who need to see something like this thread to even consider saving shsh. If you don't like that skip over my thread. It's meant more as a service announcement for all of the new jailbreakers than a semantics argument.
I enjoy coming along to this forums and support people while learning a lot myself I cannot "skip" over your thread because on my eyes was calling something as fact that it is not, and i want to introduce the "possibility" of other scenarios happening to the people reading. I read the same twitter feed you did, and in non if them the information was to panic people like your post.

I understand there is a possibility it won't happen you don't have to tell me that. But honestly comex uses an exploit in alarm clock to untether. Apple announces they are releasing an alarm clock fix. Odds are they are patching his exploit. If they don't great but most likely they will. I'm sure comex wouldn't retweet a comment like that unless he also thought it was pretty plausible. Regardless thanks for pointing it out yeah I should have used the word probably in post 3. Guess I just didn't cuz it was such a quick reply after my original post
You are proving my whole point, I am all for "Pretty Plausible" ....what I am against is "It WILL be patch" that is NOT what comex said, and at this point no one knows, no need to freak people out putting some speculations out there as facts, that is why there is so much confusion and misunderstanding on the Jailbreak community.

I said I agree yes post 3 should have included possibly. My bad. As I said thanks for pointing it out I'm just trying to spread the info to others. People thinking it will be patched and backing up their shsh isn't going to hurt anyone even if it's never patched

Any idea why Cydia isn’t reporting blobs? This just happened a day or so ago.
I've been trying to find that out myself, I think it have to dome something with the UI remap, the SHSH are there (I checked with TU, but not reporting back to the client for some reason)
I have mine locally, so I’m not too worried about it, but I noticed it happened after Saurik was away at a conference.
That thread isn’t applicable, since NONE of my SHSH’s are being shown. Hopefully, the answer below is why.
Yes the feature has been temporarily removed due to all of the traffic from people jailbreaking. It's still saving shsh just not posting that they are saved right now.
