FINALLY stocked them in Philly area stores. It just took patience...which I dont have...lolYeah, I got mine in NYC.
I get you on this one but my guess is they don’t want to block compatibility with accessories. I haven’t used silicone but like everything else about the leather case. If I could find one that was thin, had colorful option, metal buttons, and full protection I’d probably switch. Apple case has three of the four.
I’ve also found that, since I frequently remove and install the case, the open bottom makes that process much easier. And finally, haven’t really noticed any excessive wear on the unprotected bottom and have been using the Apple leather case since the 6.
Glad you finally got one! Pics are great! It has some nice blue hues in it, especially viewed in white light. It should, however, patina into a darker (more "hunter") green and nicely so.The Apple stores near me finally got stock today. I did grab the Forest Green, the one I've been waiting for since LAST Wed. I just love the way it looks - to me it even looks more like a "Midnight Green" (Phila. Eagles primary color - so thats a plus!).
Saddle brown is on my list also...also nice. I do want to go back later and grab a silicone (It arrived at the store, but wasn't checked into stock yet), I always grab one as a backup, and the grip on that has always been amazing.

...other brand wrap-arounds allow easy access to all bottom ports via accessories, dongles, charger plugs, etc. yeah, want metal push buttons on the side ? that's debatable. TPU (silicone) cases come w/either fully enclosed no-prob-operational side button coverage or none; owners choice. leather ? nah, too bulky for any o' my pockets, bags, etc., thnku ! periodically, i remove the case(s) for usual cleaning of dirt, dust accumulation but that's about it. grabbed these 3 flexies (even threw in some color trim !) all for under $25. dropped many-a-phone using these cheapies & watched 'em bounce back like troopers ! start to yellow out ? eh, get nuther one (or frosted !) for $5 !

...sorry, w/$1k+ ka-ching prices this yr, especially w/Max, i prefer full coverage wrap-around for my surgical stainless steel & paying for overpriced, no bottom coverage Apple cases is def a no-deal on this end.
Me too. I also like de see and feel the bottom of the phone while using it. When it’s totally wrapped I forget what a nice looking phone it is.I actually prefer the bottom
If the Apple cases. It allows me to remove the case while things are plugged into the bottom... dongle, charger, headphones etc...
