Question for any fellow web designers around here (but anyone can chime in):
I'm planning on getting a Mac mini M5 Pro and a Studio Display.
I'm on a 27 inch 2020 iMac that currently has 64 GB of RAM. If I upgrade to the M5 Pro mini, should I still get 64 GB or would 48 be sufficient?
I usually have these open at all times: Safari and Chrome (multiple tabs and windows for both), Messages, WhatsApp, Discord, Music, Photoshop, Figma, and Nova.
Currently, I have zero problems with 64GB for this situation. Everything is nice and smooth and I'd like it to stay that way of course. I'm using iStat pro and it currently shows the memory pressure varying usually from 17% and 22%. With an average memory usage of 70-80%. I realize that percentage would be more than 48GB, but does Apple Silicon perform the same (or better) performance anyway?
