New Mac Placeholder SKUs in Future Shop's Inventory?

.... well, not last legs, but my PB is looking forward to retirement. I've promised my 5 year-old 15" 1.25GHZ, that it would get a long deserved rest... and we've both been waiting patiently....
These placeholders are not posted on the site, but rather on a order paper instore. Only employees have access to things like this.
I see. Well then wouldn't Best Buy have the same sort of information? I imagine there would be a high chance of that getting leaked on Best Buy's end...
I would think one of those would have to be MBA considering they have gone the longest without an update
Perhaps because there is no need to have 3 MacBooks or 3 MacBook Pros. This would help with promoting the MBA. What do you think?

Your laptop is looking forward to being euthanized? My 12" 867Mhz powerbook is still going strong and hates the fact that I'm thinking of replacing her!

MBA to be discontinued - expect no updates.
so there's news out there that the MBA (due to disappointing performance, hardware performance and demand) will be discontinued and won't be updated before the "touchbook" transition. feel free to consult my recent threads on the transition.
i hope that clarifies the MBA side of the rumors.

I'm hoping to see another leaked picture, or one that is credible or something that looks believable. This is cool, but it seems to just confirm some rumors about an impending macbook/mbp update. Now I want some pictures!
That's a ridiculous contention. If anything the MB is on the way out.
The MBA has been in the top 5 best selling items at the Apple (web) Store since it came out.

...just so you guys know, Futureshop is Canada's largest electronics retail outlet. From what i can tell that picture looks legit, but i wanna see for myself just to make sure.
...I've been wanting a new Macbook badly. guess the wait is almost over!
I'm thinking:
1. MBA gets a small HD bump, maybe a processor bump. Nothing big.
2. MB gets a new design, faster processors ( + maybe bigger HDs + more RAM ). Maybe a small price drop?
3. MBP redesign, speed bumps and small HD increases.
(one MBA, down to two base MBs, and three MBPs.)
Here's hoping the event comes soon!

I'm thinking the same as most people: 3mb's and 3mbp's.
The mba and the mini will probably be updated at mwsf. Seems like a nice place to show off with a completely revamped mini.
And the mba seems (to me) more like a device for a yearly update.
For now: mb's and especially MBP's!!!!

That makes sense about the macbook. If its aluminium then they will lose the extra top of range black one maybe.
MBA situation
apple has gotten itself into big trouble with the MBA - it's difficult to find a satisfied hardware-conscious customer nowadays that actually tried to use the MBA for more than showing it off. it's generally agreed that getting rid of the first-generation issues and lifting the MBA's performance to a reasonable, proper system (note that you'll still want to use leopard) would require considerable investments on apple's developers side. get your MBA now if you want one, but it'll disappear in January during the touchbook transition...

Surely the MBA is just over priced? Hence possible price drops?
