Well, I am sure that a lot of people aren't buying the machines based on their keyboards alone. ;)

That leads me to another thing that has been swishing around in my head. Will Apple give the new slim keyboard on the pro machines, or will they stick to the original keyboard? Personally, it doesn't really matter to me, as I will be using my original keyboard with FCP keys installed, but I am curious to see if Apple offers a somewhat flimsy keyboard with their pro machines.

Good point :)

Although, at least for me, I much prefer the new slim keyboard. I can type much faster on it.

Swing and a miss!

Well, I'm now convinced that the new Mac Pro will come in January at MWSF. Probably an entire revamp of their lineup -- iMac, Mac Pro and Macbooks.

It's going to be a long 35 days...

Days not over yet though. I do believe it will be MacWorld too. But not the iMacs. The iMacs took away from the MacPro for an August update. lol :D

Yes, I have to buy a MacPro on or immedietly after MacWorld, I just hope it won't be delayed again, otherwise I will have to buy the old one.

Here's hoping.

Are you guys going to create a new thread for every day between now and when its released?!

I stopped expecting anything before January after the last sensible date passed mid November.

I kind of doubted whether the secret was a new mac pro when i first read this, I guess there is still alot of today left, but I don't really see it happening.

Sigh...my G4 powerbook couldnt have died at a worse time. I need me a Mac Pro. Doesnt Steve know that I have $3k just burning a hole in my pocket? :(

So can we agree not to use "Cali" as a source for anything anymore?

except maybe some new rumor of iPod socks....

Exactly, I'm getting so tired of these threads popping up every other day talking about how someone just happens to know when a new Mac Pro is coming out. It's getting to the point where I'm wishing I could block or get rid of these threads because all they are doing is choking up the Mac Pro/Power Mac forum area!

I know I'm a little adamant about this issue but it's really starting to become a problem on this forum. I know I'm not alone when I say this either. It's almost to the point where every other thread is about a new Mac Pro or when a new Mac Pro is being released, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a thread somewhere for this topic and only devoted to this topic?? Why can't these newbies and people that want to voice their opinion about the outdated hardware go there and talk about or better yet go here http://www.apple.com/feedback/macpro.html. Put your name in, tell them how you feel about over priced hardware, year old video cards, and how everyone and their nun sister wants a Mac Pro Mini even though it's a financial disaster waiting to happen for such a small user base.

And a final note, yes I know I sound irritable but I'm tired of seeing these kinds of threads. Yes I don't have to read them. That's true and typically I don't. Unfortunately to read any posts that have any substance to them I have to navigate through about four of these such posts before finding anything that has any merit!

*deep breaths, deep breaths*

Okay, I'm better now.
